Flychat adds chat head-like bubbles to Hangouts, Telegram, WhatsApp, and more

Google's improved quick reply notifications in Android 7.0 can make replying to messages easier, but it's still tedious to manage multiple simultaneous chats. That's doubly true of they're taking place in different apps. Flychat aims to make it easier by bundling all (or at least most) of your messaging apps into floating bubbles. They're chat heads, basically.

Need to get a closer look at something? The Play Store on Android will now oblige with pinch-zoom on screenshots, which let's be honest, it should have had ages ago. However, this was just snuck in recently, possibly as a server-side switch.

Google Keyboard v5.2 from the Pixel system dump has new Pixel themes and other minor tweaks [APK Download]

[Deal Alert] League of Stickman Zombie, djay2, and Lost Journey all down to $0.10 (some valid in US too)

There have been more $0.10 sales in the Play Store as of late, but most of them are not available in the US. Today there are three top apps and games on sale for this low, low price, and two of them are valid in the US. Prisma offline mode comes to Android

Prisma came to Android a few months ago with a ton of really impressive photo filters. Whereas some apps with filters try to be subtle, Prisma completely reinterprets the pictures you feed in, turning them into some fancy art. The main drawback; Prisma only worked online. That is finally changing on Android.

Google says Pixel Launcher is exclusive to Pixel phones, will consider expanding it later

Long before Google announced the Pixel phones, and even before we knew they would be called "Pixel," we heard about the Nexus Launcher. That mysterious new home screen from Google eventually became the Pixel Launcher, and now it's official as part of the Pixel and Pixel XL. However, Google has confirmed that the Pixel Launcher will be exclusive to its namesake phone, at least for a while.

WhatsApp adds image/video drawing and stickers, front-facing flash, and more

It can be hard to keep track of what's new and old in WhatsApp thanks in part to the beta program that's always testing a ton of stuff. This time, WhatsApp was good enough to make a blog post announcing some of the camera features we saw in a recent beta are official now. Starting today, Android users will be able to doddle on pictures, use their screen as a flash, and more.

Action Launcher preemptively adds launcher shortcuts expected to debut with the Pixel Launcher

As you may have noticed in a recent teardown, Google's launcher shortcuts are most likely returning in Android 7.1 with the Pixel Launcher. This feature was part of the Nougat developer preview some months ago, but wasn't implemented in the final release. Now, an improved version is on the way, and Action Launcher continues its tradition of adding all the Pixel Launcher things before the Pixel Launcher even exists.
