You don't have to sacrifice quality to get a good deal. Simply wait for awesome stuff to go on sale, and snatch it up. Or just keep reading Android Police and we'll tell you when that happens. That's actually what's happening right now.

What were you doing exactly a year ago? Tweeting a picture of your food? Complaining about the weather? With Timehop, you can look back on past-you with a kind of self-awareness that, quite frankly, might be a little depressing.

Back in the day, people used to go on runs with nothing but a loose pair of shorts and whichever shoes were comfy. Now such an idea feels downright preposterous without earbuds, music, podcasts, a fitness band, or an activity tracking app. Runtastic's offering is one of the first that comes to mind, and today it's getting bumped up to version 5.0. Runners, here's the promotional video.

Yeah, that video showed the iOS interface.

It's easy to forget that Amazon has cloud storage products on Android now that Google has started pushing the envelope with Drive and Play Music. Amazon does offer its own photo backup app connected to a free 5GB Cloud Drive block. The app wasn't great, but now that's being addressed with a significant update.

The Gmail app doesn't provide the option to mark notifications as read, and it drives many users up the wall. MarkAsRead entered the Play Store less than a week ago and, as the name suggests, tackled this issue head on. Now an update is available that adds the ability to mark a message as read and archive it at the same time, just as the developer promised.

Consider this new app that item that someone placed on store shelves before it was time to begin selling the product. You can look at it all you want, but until that launch date comes, forget about it. In this case, HTC has released a Zoe app into the Play Store, but it doesn't plan to activate it until this summer.

There isn't much to take away from these screenshots, other than a green battery icon that drills in just why Google required everyone to switch to white notification tray icons for Android 4.4.

Always forgetting your phone? Well, you should probably pay more attention. Failing that, maybe get one of those Bluetooth tethers that can warn you when you're about to leave the phone behind. HTC makes one of those called the Fetch, and now there's an app in Google Play so more devices can get in on the fun.

Link Bubble is already a pretty great app, but developer Chris lacy is apparently not content to rest on his laurels. There is already a Play Store beta program you can join to get the latest tweaks and features. Just a few steps and you're in.

For anyone not aware, Link Bubble is an app that loads web pages in the background and stacks them up in a floating bubble.

When it comes to invisible keyboards, Fleksy doesn't have a lot of competition. Or none, actually. This keyboard uses aggressive autocorrect and prediction to make words out of the nonsense you enter, and today it's hitting v2.0 with some new features.
