So, the regular Galaxy S5 is finally starting to get an update to Android 5.0, and what's this? The GS5 Active on AT&T is getting an update. Could it be? Is this the moment we've been waiting for? Oh... nope. It's just Android 4.4.4.

The HTC One M8 on AT&T is getting an update starting today, and it makes a few significant changes. What it doesn't do is bring Lollipop to the device—it's 4.4.4. The wait for Lollipop shall continue, I'm afraid.
If you've got a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (or SGN1012014, as I like to call it) on T-Mobile, you may want to head into Settings > About tablet > Software updates and see if there's something waiting for you. Team Magenta started pushing the 4.4.4 update out today, which also brings Download Booster along with it. Fun times.
The original Moto G is getting Android 4.4.4! Well, at least one of them is. The Moto G actually had at least eight different variants designed for various global markets in 3G and LTE flavors. T-Mobile is currently pushing out an over-the-air update to its version of HTC's flagship phone that bumps the software up to Android 4.4.4. Interestingly enough, getting the latest version of KitKat isn't the highlight of this release. This update is significant, not just for its Android version bump, but also because it means that an LTE variant of this tablet is getting said bump before its WiFi-only counterpart. Update: We're getting a few reports that this initial build (213.44.1) may be a soak test, despite the fact that our tipster isn't part of the current soak program. If that's the case, it may be a few days to a few weeks before regular users see the OTA update.
Boost Mobile has announced that it is now pushing out the Android 4.4.4 over-the-air update to the Moto G. This release will bump users of the affordable handset up to the latest version of Android, bragging rights that plenty of more powerful handsets can't provide.
Update: T-Mobile has updated the support page with a clarification on those Wi-Fi calling enhancements. The phone now has support for Gogo inflight texting, a feature the company announced as part of Un-Carrier 7.0.
It looks like Samsung is sending the latest public version of Android 'round the houses. Yesterday the Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint got upgraded to Android 4.4.4, and according to a few end users, Verizon's flavor of the Galaxy S5 is getting it today. A long thread on the popular XDA Developers forum began a few hours ago, with multiple Galaxy S5 owners reporting the download coming in. One user posted the download link, a hefty 346MB file.
Sony has announced that the latest version of KitKat is now rolling out to many of its Xperia products with Z in their name. That includes the Z, the ZL, the ZR, and the Tablet Z. For the confused, no, I'm not talking about smearing chocolate all over a Wii U controller. Sony just really likes the final letter of the alphabet, and it's now delivering Android 4.4.4 to four devices all bearing Z in their names. The software version is number 10.5.1.A.0.283.
Update: Good news! Looks like the 4.4.4 soak test is now underway on Sprint. If you're part of the Motorola Feedback Network, you maybe might possibly have access to it now. Hopefully everything runs smoothly so the full update will go out to all users soon.
