Like clockwork, with the beginning of another month comes a roundup of the top new games from the previous month. July saw the introduction of a ton of new games to the Play Store, many worth coverage, and just a slightly lower number worthy of a spot in the top games of the month. It's not unusual for us to have trouble picking a "top five," but this month the choice was especially tough, so we've put together the top eight games from July 2012 for your gaming pleasure.

With the introduction of the Nexus Q and Nexus 7 devices at Google I/O yesterday, one (big) question remains – how will the market react to these products?

The Nexus Q, a social media streaming device is undoubtedly a cool gadget – it allows you and your friends to stream content in your living room by interacting with one centralized device – the Q makes putting your Play Store content on your TV or external speakers an absolute breeze.

The Nexus 7, meanwhile, represents the long-rumored 7-inch tablet produced by Google at an affordable price. With a 7" IPS display, quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and (of course) Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it is no doubt an attractive device – but is Google taking the right approach to entering a direct competitor to the Kindle Fire into the tablet market?

The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is, by most standards, the best Android tablet available for the price right now. That's what we thought when the tablet was available for $250. Today, though, on eBay's Daily Deals, the tablet is available for $219.99, or about $30 off. If you're in the market for a 7" tablet, the cost of an average night out at the movies is the difference between the Kindle Fire and this full Android 4.0 experience.

The deal is available for today only. This tablet was already a fantastic deal, though we're all eager to see what Google might announce at I/O.

Whenever I hear about the latest and greatest tablet under $100, I get a little bit sad inside. It's sort of like that feeling you get when you see a 3-legged dog - your heart is mildly warmed by its perseverance, but the rest of you would much rather look away and think about something a little less... depressing.

Datawind's $50 (2499INR) Aakash tablet is a 2-legged dog. It's powered by a 366MHz ARM11 CPU - a processor architecture released a decade ago. It has a 7", 800x480 resistive touchscreen display. 256MB of RAM is under the hood, an amount I didn't even know was possible to run Android 2.2 on (yes, that's a bit of sarcasm - I know it's possible).

Good News – The Android Market Can Now Be Installed On Amazon's Kindle Fire

Since before the launch of Amazon's Kindle Fire, the Android community has been atwitter, planning to break through the shopping giant's custom Android variant to achieve a true Android experience. Coming one step closer to that, BriefMobile has provided detailed instructions on how to get the Android Market running on Amazon's affordable 7" slate.

Of course, the Kindle Fire is not compatible with all the apps in the Market, so you may notice a few missing. Hopefully developers will be adding support for the Fire in the future, but for now, there are still plenty of reasons you want the Market on Amazon's Android tablet.

Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Wi-Fi Review: It's Almost The Perfect Tablet, But Excellence Comes At A High Price

The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is the best Android tablet I have ever used - hands down. No contest, nothing else comes even close. I've used the Tab 10.1, the Toshiba Thrive, the Motorola XOOM, the ASUS Transformer, the HTC Flyer, the Acer Iconia A500, and the original Galaxy Tab. The Tab 10.1 is probably the next best thing (with TouchWiz UX), but it seems downright slow next to the Tab 7.0 Plus at times.

Before I start talking about why I love the Tab 7.0 Plus so much in detail, let's break down what this thing is, what I like, and what I don't.

Dolphin 7.0 Adds Cloud Sync Of Preferences And Gestures, Revamped WebZine, Exclusively Available In GetJar Now And Android Market October 23rd

Dolphin HD, one of my favorite browsers (at least until ICS), was updated to version 7.0 today, available exclusively from GetJar until October 23rd, at which point it will be released to the Android Market.

The new version brings cloud sync of browsing preferences and gestures in addition to bookmarks across all your Android devices - something Dolphin is calling Dolphin Connect. In addition to that, Dolphin 7 revamps the WebZine interface for easier navigation and prettier, more robust UI.

[Update: Nightlies Are A Go!] Samsung Fascinate Officially Joins CyanogenMod

Verizon Samsung Fascinate has finally joined the official ranks of the ever-growing CyanogenMod custom ROM empire, following its brothers Captivate, Vibrant, Nexus S 4G, the original Galaxy S, and Nexus S.

Incredible 2 Joins The CyanogenMod 7 Nightly Club

Get it while it's hot, kids - the DROID Incredible 2 is officially merged into CyanogenMod, and the nightly builds are now being pumped out (direct link here). These nightly builds may contain bugs, dragons, and other potentially annoying/broken things - so flash at your own risk. Your Dinc2 will also need to be fully unlocked, meaning you'll have to use the AlphaRevX Beta 2 software, which you can learn about in this post. And you'll need a custom recovery, which you can find here. So, you do need to do some work before you can get your CyanogenMod on.
