So you want a decent Android tablet (not one of those cheap knock-offs), but you don't want to break the bank, and an affordable seven-incher isn't quite what you had in mind. How about a 10.1-inch Toshiba Thrive for $250? Sure, it's not a Tegra 3-packing Transformer Prime, but at less than half the price of the TFP, it's still hard to beat. In fact, this is one of the best prices that we've ever seen on a premium Tegra 2 tablet.

This is a refurbished model.

Since it has been a while since we've talked about the Thrive, here's a reminder of what's under its hood:

  • 10.1-inch 1280x800 IPS display
  • 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • 5MP rear shooter, 2MP front camera
  • Weight: 1.7lbs
  • Thickness: 15mm
  • 5MP rear camera, 2MP front
  • Full-size USB and HDMI-out ports, plus miniUSB port
  • SD card slot (with SDXC support)
  • Android 3.1 (Android 4.0 upgradeable)

So there you go.

It looks like eBay's Daily Deals feature may become the go-to source for Android tablet shopping - just last week they had the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi for $100 off, and today, the Viewsonic gTablet has found its way onto the site for a mere $250 with free shipping.

This isn't the first time that the gTablet has made its way into our deals category, either - we've actually featured it a few different times when it was on Woot. This is, however, the lowest price that we've seen this dual-core tablet go for.

A quick spec reminder is probably in order, so here you go:

  • 10.1 inch 1024x600 display
  • 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 16GB storage with microSD card slot
  • 1.3 MP front camera
  • Android 2.2

Even though it's not rocking Honeycomb, I still say this tablet is absolutely worth $250  - but you better hurry, because this deal can come to a close at any time!

As  more high-end Android tablets hit the market, the prices can be pretty overwhelming (I'm talking to you, Motorola XOOM). While it doesn't sport cutting-edge specs, the 7" Barnes & Noble Nook Color has been taken on as a pet project by many in the development community (even running a mostly stable port of the Honeycomb SDK preview), and can be turned into a solid $250 tablet. Now, if you act quickly, you can change that to a $200 tablet when you snatch it up from the manufacturer's eBay account.

Here's how to get in on the action:

  1. Navigate to the correct listing by barnesandnobleinc
  2. Checkout with promo code CBARNESDD
  3. Enjoy your $200 (with free shipping) Android tablet!

Update: LetsTalk/Walmart Wireless now says "this product is no longer available." When we called them, we were told the sale was a mistake. We aren't yet sure whether the $250 price will be honored for customers who already bought the bundle.

We've already seen some surprisingly hot deals on the powerhouse of a phone that is the Atrix 4G, but LetsTalk/Walmart Wireless' latest offer tops everything. Thanks to them, you can now snag both the Atrix 4G and its laptop dock for just $250 - half of AT&T's price.

The deal is, of course, available only to customers signing up for a new two-year contract (the off-contract price for the bundle is still $1,099.99), but nonetheless, if you've been waiting to pick up an Atrix, this is the perfect opportunity.
