Digitally Imported Radio (DI.FM) Gets A Huge Visual Redesign In Version 2.0

Digitally Imported Radio (or DI.FM, if you're accustomed to streaming through a browser) isn't a service we get to write about often. That's not because it's bad. It's just that the app lets you listen to over 80 human-curated channels of electronic music, and there's not much else to see.

But for the big leap to version 2.0, AudioAddict has given the Android version a complete visual overhaul. Digitally Imported Radio now looks less like something from the ICS days and more like old Pandora.

Google Reader Rises From The Grave With New (Material) Update v2.0 [APK Download]

For any readers visiting this post on or after April 2, check the post date before continuing :)

In 2013, Google announced the death of its RSS reading platform Google Reader. At the time, Google cited declining usage as the official reason for Reader's closure, wrapping it up along with things like Cloud Connect, Voice for Blackberry, and Building Maker as part of a second round of "spring cleaning."

It comes as a huge surprise then to see the app back in the Play Store almost two years later with a new icon and brand new interface, jumping from version 1.1.8 up to 2.0.

Roman Nurik's Muzei, the live wallpaper that puts art (or any other collection of images) front and center on your home screen, got a big update to version 2.0 today.

The most noticeable changes are in the app's interface, which has been updated for Lollipop. The design stays true to the experience many users are already familiar with, but adds some new touches, including a revised launcher icon, and a FAB for adding images to the "my photos" category.

MediaFire 2.0 Update Gives The Cloud Storage App A Cleaner UI, Automatic Backup, And More

Today the MediaFire Android app is turning 2.0, an age that resembles 20 but generally brings along more change in the life of an app. Software seemingly goes through digital puberty overnight and finds itself tucked inside a new body that looks different and similar at the same time. The latest version of MediaFire won't look unfamiliar to people who have known the app for a while, but most would probably say it has aged for the better.

Flipboard 2.0 Released, Brings Magazine Creation Tools, Web Interface, And Native Sharing Integration

To be perfectly honest, I'm not much of an e-mag guy. I tried Google Currents for a while, but never quite saw the utility of it, and so quickly transitioned back to my beloved Feedly and Google Reader. That's not to say I haven't realized the limitations of RSS many times, though, especially as certain websites I follow look to integrate more multimedia into articles.
