Twitter Launches Official Play Store Beta - Sign Up Now To Get New Features Before Anyone Else

A number of social apps have turned to the Play Store to manage their betas. We've already seen Facebook and Snapchat launch official beta versions to anyone who signs up for the privilege, and now Twitter is doing the same. If you've signed up for either of the other programs, the routine should feel pretty familiar. The experimental build will replace the current Twitter app on your phone, unlike the Chrome beta that can exist side-by-side with the stable release.

AT&T's Aio Wireless Prepaid Brand Will Expand Nationwide in September

In spite of the color-based lawsuit, AT&T is planning to expand its Aio Wireless service nationwide in September. The prepaid service is only available in a few markets right now including Florida, Texas, Chicago, and Atlanta.

Aio Wireless offers only three different plans and an assortment of mostly mid-range phones. Customers of Aio get access to AT&T's 4G LTE network (with a cap), then additional data at lower speeds. Signing up before September 29th gets you a free month of service, provided you maintain an account for at least three months.

[New Game] Activision Brings Skylanders Cloud Patrol To Android, Complete With NFC Figure Integration

If you've never heard of Skylanders, you either don't have children aged 6-10 or you haven't walked down the video game aisle of a supermarket in the last two years. Today Activision has released the first Android entry in the series, Skylanders Cloud Patrol, which integrates with the eponymous toy line. It's available 18 months after the iOS version - try not to act surprised.

The game is a pretty basic tap-and-drag shooter, tasking the player with shooting down trolls from a mounted turret on an airship.

Screenshots Of The Android Manager App For Samsung's Galaxy Gear Smartwatch Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Take a look at that image. That one right down there. See that? It's the first reliable bit of information that indicates what the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch will look like.

Perennial leakster @evleaks just posted two screenshots on his Twitter profile, purportedly from the Manager companion app for the Galaxy Gear. They show an NFC pairing system not unlike the latest Sony Smartwatch sans strap, a few apps in a screen not unlike the Pebble Smartwatch app, and not much else.

Unofficial MIUI Site MIUI.us Hacked And Defaced

MIUI.us, an unofficial U.S. site for a popular Android custom ROM called MIUI (pronounced Me, You, I) developed by Chinese company Xiaomi, was hacked and defaced by a hacker who goes by the nickname Federal. All of the content on the homepage as well as the main forum page, was replaced with this:

[New Game] Bravoman: Binja Bash Arrives In Google Play With Stretchy Arms Flailing Wildly

Bravoman is a side-scrolling action platformer based on the original Japanese arcade game from the late 80's. The thing about this game you need to know is that you can totally tell it is based on an 80's Japanese arcade game, but not in a bad way. It's just really weird.

The only real power you have as Bravoman is to stretch your arms out and punch things, which is pretty cool, I guess.

If you haven't yet picked up the stunning puzzle game The Room, then you're missing out on one of the best games to hit Android in the last year or so. It's still on sale right now, and for a single, solitary dollar, it simply cannot be beaten. I grabbed it a couple of days ago and was almost immediately absorbed into its captivating world of puzzle and mystery. Yep, it's great.
