[Update: arm APK] YouTube for Android TV v2.0 brings a major redesign and finally allows autoplay to be turned off [APK Download]

Holy cow, there's an update to the YouTube for Android TV app! It has been a long time–fourteen months, to be precise–and judging by a major bump to the version number, this isn't just a bug fixer. In fact, it carries an entirely redesigned interface, not to mention a few functional changes, as well. This update probably doesn't address many of the requests users have had over the last year, but it's a great step forward and solves at least one major issue: Auto-play.

Nokia and HMD Global stormed onto the Android budget phone scene earlier this year, with the Nokia 6. A few months later, the Nokia 5 and 3 were announced to complete the lineup. But many have been holding out for a modern Android Nokia flagship, which has been rumored for a few months now. Now we finally know what to expect from the phone, which should be named the 'Nokia 8.'

Dein Persönlicher Assistent: Google Home coming next month to Germany

Hot on the heels of the news that Australia would be the fifth country to get Google Home (following the US, Canada, France, and the UK), it seems the smart home assistant has now learned its third language. The official Google blog in Germany has announced that Google Home will be available in the country from next month. It was only a matter of time really, as Google Wifi was made available there last month. This just leaves Japan to come, of the countries Google said would be getting the smart speaker this summer.

Google Home and Wifi will launch in Australia on July 20th

It's been nine months since Google Home launched in the US, but in that time, it was made available for purchase in only three other countries: Canada, France, and the United Kingdom. The story is much the same for Google Wifi, with only those three countries, along with Germany, deemed worthy enough to have it sold there. But in just a few days, our friends down under will be able to have Google Homes and Wifis of their very own.

Recurring reminders on Android Wear to be fixed with future Google app update

Android Wear 2.0 has had some growing pains. Many users (including some of us at AP) would rather use version 1.5, due to major changes to how notifications are displayed and other annoyances. And as with any major software update, there have been a few bugs here and there.

Play Books v3.14 brings an overhaul of the Library page and support for Android O's notification channels [APK Download]

A new version of Google Play Books is rolling out today and it brings some good changes to both the app and its notifications. Users experimenting with Android O can also take advantage of some newly added notification channels. As usual, there's a download link at the bottom if you want to jump the line and get the latest release a bit early.

Google uses World Emoji Day to talk about killing the blobmoji, tries to make up for it with Allo stickers

Google is preparing to kill the blob emoji in Android O, which will feature more conventional emoji faces. I just want to go on record saying I love the Android blob emoji, or blobmoji if you will. As if this injustice was not enough, Google is using World Emoji Day to talk about the death of the blobmoji. It's giving us some stickers to make up for it, but you have to use Allo to send them.

Toolbox for Google Play Store, our browser extension, is now available for Firefox

Back in December of last year, we released a Chrome extension called Toolbox for Google Play Store. It enhances the web Play Store with testing program signup links, a button to view the selected app on APKMirror, and more. A few months later, the extension became available for Opera, and now it's on Firefox too.
