If you've been thinking about picking up the Nexus S 4G on Sprint, then now is the time to go for it, because Wirefly has a deal that's hard to resist. You can get this stock Android beauty for $99 with a new two year agreement, or by adding it as a new line on a family plan. This is indeed a killer deal on an amazing piece of hardware.

If you need a refresher on the specs of this gem, here you go:

  • 4 Inch Super AMOLED display
  • 1GHz Hummingbird Processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 16GB Built-in storage
  • 5MP Rear camera with 720p video capture
  • VGA front camera
  • Stock Android 2.3

The same phone will set you back $199 at the Sprint store or $150 at Best Buy, so there really isn't a comparable deal out there right now.

What you see there is a tesseract. In case you're not quite sure what that is (I wasn't), the short definition is "the four-dimensional analogue of a cube." Or, to be more specific (for those of you as nerdy as I):

Four-dimensional hypercube; its vertices are (+/-1, +/-1, +/-1, +/-1). It is a polychoron formed from eight equal cube cells that are perpendicular to each other at their faces. It is the tetraspace analog to the square in planespace and the cube in realmspace. (source)

A commonly-used name for a four-dimensional hypercube. A tesseract has 16 corners, 32 edges, 24 squares, and 8 cubes.

The HTC Dream, launched in 2008 by a then little-known Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, took the world by storm as the first "Google-phone".

Now HTC is back delivering its tablet which is available today from the HTC Flyer Store in Europe. The 32GB 3G + WiFi version costs £599.99 ($975.88) and the 16GB WiFi-only version costs £479.99 ($781.38). These prices seem to be a lot higher than Best Buy's $499, but this is hardly surprising considering almost all electronics (notably Apple products) are much steeper in Europe.

The 7" tablet will also be available in-store in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Romania.

If you have been patiently waiting for the first 4G LTE DROID to hit Verizon's network after last month's 4G outage that delayed the original release, you'll be pleased to know that your wait ends tomorrow, as the Samsung DROID Charge is finally set to hit the shelves of Big Red.

The DROID Charge has been subject to heavy criticism due to its high price tag and lackluster hardware (read: lack of a dual core processor), and even got a not-so-great review from our own David Ruddock. Regardless, this will most likely be the new flagship device for VZW, but it's going to have a tough hill to climb if it wants to successfully compete with any of the previous DROIDs.

If you've beaten all 456930 levels of all 3 flavors of Angry Birds and can't wait for 30 more that Rovio teased us with, take a deep breath and go in for the kill - the update to Rio just went live in the Amazon Market.

Beach Volley, the 3rd Rio stage, following the Smugglers' Den and Jungle Escape, brings 30 more levels full of birds (including Blu and Jewel tied at the feet), monkeys, and you guessed it - beach balls. Did I mention monkeys?

Unsurprisingly, you will need to have passed the previous stages before you can proceed to Beach Volley, as evident from this screenshot of my Samsung Tab (I have an excuse, OK?

Announced back in April, the HTC Sensation (Sensation 4G on T-Mobile USA) is undoubtedly the company's most exciting and powerful Android phone arriving in the near future (starting late May in the UK and most likely June in the U.S.). Think of it as T-Mobile's and the rest of the world's response to the HTC EVO 3D on Sprint. This dual-core monster will without a doubt aim to challenge even the current top contender, the screaming fast Samsung Galaxy S2.

To show off the Sensation and its features, HTC put together a 5-minute video, shot in the casually cool style that we've grown to expect from the company.

It looks like Motorola's follow-up to the Droid X will be hitting its planned release date - sometime later in May - after all. According to Droid-Life's sources, the Droid X2 (or Droid X², if you feel like stylin') will be released on May 26, with all the following luscious hardware in tow:

  • 4.3" qHD (960 x 540) display
  • Dual core 1 GHz Tegra 2 processor
  • 8 megapixel rear camera
  • 720p video capture
  • HDMI out
  • 8 GB internal memory
  • 8 GB microSD card included
  • 1540 mAH battery

Looking at the image of the phone, the blue notification bar suggests that the device will come with Gingerbread pre-installed, as that is exactly what the Gingerbread build for the original Droid X looks like.

When he covered the official release of the Netflix app earlier today, Cameron said, "If your device didn’t make the cut, though, I wouldn’t sweat it too hard – you know how resourceful the Android community can be." Well, the app hasn't even been out for a day yet, and already there's a way to get it running on non-supported devices. The only caveat is that you must be rooted. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work on the Thunderbolt.

So how's it done? Well, the instructions are actually fairly straightforward, and come courtesy of tipster/redditor natemckn:

      1. Root is required.

On the night before Google I/O 2011, I posted an open call for any questions you might have had for Google core developers. And you delivered - within a few hours, we had over 50 questions of varying complexities, and I realized I was in trouble. Office hours are meant for developers asking dev questions, whereas most of the ones you've asked were about policies and availability. Still, I proceeded to ask away at office hours and at the end of each session, fearing being shunned forever. Unsurprisingly, some devs would force me to move on after realizing the volume of questions, but some persistently tried answering, referring me to the right people along the way if they didn't know something.
