Livestream's Mevo camera now supports YouTube Live

Last year, Livestream (yes, there is a company called Livestream) released the Mevo camera, a small device designed for live broadcasting on the go. It was the first camera with integrated Facebook Live streaming, along with support for Livestream's own service (Periscope support came later). Now the beta versions of the iOS and Android apps support streaming straight to YouTube.

Deals of the century: These three temporarily free $400 Android apps will change your lives

Remember those crazy expensive apps that only existed for you to show off how rich you are to your friends (and to make developers some quick cash from chumps)? The $999.99 'I Am Rich' iOS app from back in '08 comes to mind, but it turns out that those apps still exist on the Play Store. PENITAX, a Slovakia-based 'developer,' has just made all three of his lackluster $399.99 apps free for a limited time on the Play Store.

Sonos Playbase review: The speaker to rule the living room

Let me start this off with the obvious: Sonos is a pretty legendary name these days. The company's product portfolio is pretty simple and easy to navigate, but each item serves a few specific purposes that help potential buyers decide which one to purchase. The selection of speakers, soundbars, and amps all fulfill different audio needs, whether you want a multi-room setup like Artem and/or a stellar surround sound experience.

Synology DiskStation DS416play review: Cloud who? Personal servers can be cool and feature-filled too

This is one of the most difficult reviews I've had to write to date. I've been using the Synology DS416play for several months, yet everytime I sat down to start writing, I felt overwhelmed by what I should and shouldn't discuss and eventually found myself drifting to work on another simpler and more urgent news article. I love detailed reviews, I enjoy delving deep into every single feature a product offers and discussing its benefits and limitations, as evidenced by the lengthy reviews I've written on Android Police over the years. But if I wanted to do the same for this NAS, I knew I'd end up with 10K+ words at the very least without even scratching the surface of many options.

[Updated: AT&T, too!] T-Mobile and Verizon update Galaxy S8 and S8+ just in time for launch

The two phones may not have even come out until today, but T-Mobile and Verizon have been on their toes. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ on everyone's favorite red and magenta networks have already been updated. T-Mobile is a bit scant on details, but Verizon has obliged with plenty of their own. Either way the timely frequency of updates thus far bodes well for the future of the device.

T-Mobile's notice for the update landed yesterday (note, before the phone was officially released) and Verizon's hit today.

Every phone has a few problems, and the recently-released Galaxy S8 is no exception. One of the commonly-reported issues is a red tint with the display, affecting some phones more than others. Thankfully, Samsung is aware of the problem, and a software update scheduled for next week will fix the problem.

HTC's upcoming flagship may be branded 'HTC U 11' and come in five different colors

We've been hearing about the "HTC Ocean" for months, and just the other day HTC finally teased it as part of the U line. We believed at the time it would simply be called the HTC U, but our old friend Evan Blass says the final name will be "HTC U 11." It's apparently HTC's way of bridging its old and new naming scheme.
