It's time to call up the DROID RAZR M family and congratulate it on a new, slightly much girlier addition. Minutes ago, Verizon Wireless put up the bright pink Valentine's Day-themed variant of the 4.3" Jelly Bean-sporting device for sale on its website.

Update: Verizon has now updated the page and included a $50-off discount, dropping the price down to $49.99.

Unsurprisingly, the subsidized 2-year contract price remains unchanged from the black and white versions at $99.99, while the month-to-month off-contract option will make your wallet lighter by $549.99.

This year's CES sucks. But that doesn't mean there can't be a few genuinely cool things floating around out there in an otherwise dull ocean of 4K and touchscreens. Case in point: YotaPhone, which sadly isn't even on the CES show floor at all. We covered the announcement of the YotaPhone, but really, seeing and using it in person does the idea so much more justice.

On paper, it seems pretty straightforward: a phone with a screen on both sides.

For better or worse, five inches seems to be the new target for flagship Android devices. Huawei is bringing its game to CES (unlike most manufacturers that are holding back for Mobile World Congress) with the Ascend D2, a new Jelly Bean 4.1 device sporting a 5-inch 1080p LCD panel and the in-house K3V2 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU. Other highlights include a 13MP camera (narrowly beating out Alcatel's One Touch Idol Ultra) and respectable 9.9mm waist.

Happy New Year! It's that time again; with the new year comes our new annual prediction post. I tackled this last year, and rather than do a bunch of crazy, pulled-from-thin-air predictions, I ended up with a link-filled research-fest for the year. It worked out pretty well, so that's what's on the docket for today. First though, I'll take a look and see just how many of last year's predictions and rumors came true, and provide some updates for the more important topics.

Today's giveaway is - you guessed it - more tablets! We're offering up three Fuhu Nabi 2's (which Cameron heartily recommends) - powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 3 processor.

Looking to "rebalance the relationship" between humans and their smartphones, Moscow-based Yota Devices has announced the YotaPhone, a smartphone with an LCD display on one side, and an e-ink screen on the back.

The reason behind (between?) the dual screens, Yota says, is to deliver the information users want, right when they want it, without disengaging from the real world by pressing a power button and unlocking a screen. Users can choose to see information ranging from news stories to social media updates, calendar entries, and more.

Update: The price of the LG Intuition on Amazon has been dropped to a penny, a full $150 less than you'd pay at Verizon. We doubt this deal will last long, so if you're in the market for one (why?), now's the time to buy.

Maybe you like the whole phablet idea. Maybe the thought of a handset with an aspect ratio which rivals that of your old CRT monitor sounds like a good thing to you.

A winner has been selected. Congrats to April!

You didn't think we'd miss a chance to give something away on this day of all things cheap, did you? Of course not. So we've teamed up with AT&T to give you a little Black Friday promotion of our own - in the form of a free Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 with LTE.

The Tab 2 10.1 LTE is a lot like its Wi-Fi sibling, though it's packing a much quicker Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, along with the aforementioned LTE support for the AT&T network.

Update: Here's a snapshot of that ridiculous 1080p display in action. Be sure to check out Ron's hands-on with the phone, in which he describes said eye-melting resolution.

Our own Ron Amadeo is live on the ground at the DROID DNA unveiling, but the not-quite-a-phablet phone has just been officially announced by Verizon. As expected, the DROID DNA's specifications (similar to the J Butterfly) basically position it as arguably the most lust-worthy Android phone on the market (in the US).

Over the past couple of years, Android tablets haven't really lived up to their full potential. We've seen multiple "game changers" or "iPad killers" come and go - yet the landscape has remained the same; that is, not very good. Further proving this, the best selling Android tablet of all time isn't an Android tablet at all - it's a Kindle. The Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD have been selling like hotcakes, but that really has nothing to do with Android - it's all about Amazon services.
