You would think the pace of Wear apps would slow down after the initial rush to be the first to do one thing or another, but no. Big no. The flow of new Wear-enabled apps has yet to abate, so the roundup is back a little early to show you what's cool and new in the Android Wear universe.

CyanDelta Updater Adds Support For Paranoid Android To Spare More People From Large Nightly Updates

The CyanDelta Updater app now has support for Paranoid Android, so users of that ROM can join the likes of their CyanogenMod or OmniROM running peers in avoiding that beefy ROM update each night. Keeping up with the nightly Joneses typically requires downloading a sizable update daily, but CyanDelta addresses this situation by only pulling down delta files, which contain just the part of each update that has actually changed. The premise is simple: why download an entire ROM each day if you can simply get what's new?

[New App] SecondScreen Lets Root Users Adjust A Device's Resolution For Better Chromecasting

Let's get this out of the way first: SecondScreen is not an external extended monitor app for Android. (Though that would be extremely cool.) I think the developer does a bit of a disservice with that name. What it does is force your phone or tablet to use a different resolution in order to make it display correctly - or at least more correctly - when casting the screen to a television via Chromecast or simply using an HDMI cable.

OnePlus One Gets OTA Software Update XNPH25R Fixing Slow Charging Issue

People who have received a OnePlus One through one means or another are now receiving an over-the-air software update that addresses a charging issue affecting the device. Sometimes the phone would think it's plugged into USB when it's actually plugged into AC power and, as a result, charge only half as fast, if not slower. The handset would display Charging (USB) instead of Charging (AC). This information is available in the Status screen under settings, which is visible at the top of the third screenshot below.

AOKP 4.4.4 Nightlies Add Support For The Nexus 7 LTE, Galaxy S4 Mini, And Oppo Find 7a, Plus Heads Up Notifications

Once the CyanogenMod team found and implemented the hidden Heads Up notification mode, it was basically inevitable that all the other major custom ROMs would follow suit. The unicorn-powered Android Open Kang Project has done so with their first nightly based on Android 4.4.4. They've also thrown in the usual bug fixes, as well as settings for automatic Immersive mode, disabling the full-screen keyboard, lockscreen orientation, and a few other goodies.

GravityBox Xposed Module 3.2 Brings Heads Up Notifications And More Goodies To Rooted Users

Last year we told you about GravityBox, easily one of the most complete and far-reaching Xposed modules for rooted Nexus and AOSP ROMs. The creator is still expanding the module, and has quickly incorporated the Heads Up notifications recently featured in CyanogenMod nightly builds. Heads Up notifications pop up for easy viewing and action while in full screen mode. The feature is hidden deep in Android 4.4 code, and easily enabled here.

[Update: Winners] Win One Of Ten Invites To Buy A OnePlus One

Look, let's keep this one short and sweet, shall we? OnePlus One purchase invites are hard to come by, and lots of people want them. It's unsurprising, really, as even our own Michael Crider objectively loved the phone. Hell, even Artem said it's all he's ever wanted in a phone. And he also loves its packaging.
