Update 72 Now Rolling Out To NVIDIA's SHIELD, Here's What To Expect From Remote Gamestream, The New Tegra Zone, And More

Recently, NVIDIA announced SHIELD's biggest update yet – a slew of new features and the bump to KitKat are currently rolling out to the handheld gaming system. For those who may not have seen the news, here's a quick recap of what's present in the roughly-465MB download:

  • Android 4.4.2
  • Improved GamePad Mapper
  • Improved Tegra Zone
  • GameStream support for certain gaming laptops
  • Remote GameStream
  • The ability to manually add any PC game to your GameStream library
  • Bluetooth keyboard and mouse support for GameStream/Console Mode

As you can see, the bulk of the new stuff has to do with GameStream, and it seems that NVIDIA is delivering exactly what SHIELD owners have been asking for, namely with remote GameStream and keyboard/mouse support.

Evleaks Shows Off HTC One 2014 (M8) Case With Integrated See-Through Display, Also Says A Google Play Edition Is Coming [Updated]

Another week closer to HTC's big New York event, another huge leak from the indefatigable Evleaks. This time he's taken to Google+ to show off what looks like a first-party case for the HTC M8 (a.k.a. "The New HTC One"). [MWC 2014] Lenovo Yoga Tablet 10 HD+ And Keyboard Hands-On: A Refined Take On The Integrated Kickstand

My love of devices with built-in kickstands is well-documented. So it's no surprise that Lenovo's Yoga Tablet line, which is more or less built around the kickstand (or at least a big, rounded, multi-purpose hump that holds the kickstand and several other neat things) would catch my attention. NVIDIA Announces A Mobile Network-Connected Tegra Note 7, Available In Q2 For $299

If an always-connected tablet is something your heart has always desired but your brain won't let you open your wallet long enough to pay what carriers are asking for their branded tablets, the heavens may have just opened up for you. NVIDIA is unleashing a mobile network-connected version of the the EVGA Tegra Note 7 on the world, which will be available sometime in Q2. And the timing couldn't be better – the Wi-Fi TN7 just got updated to Android 4.4.2 last night, which also brings NVIDIA's GamePad Mapper to the device.

If you have EVGA's Tegra Note 7, it's time to dive into the settings menu and grab the latest – NVIDIA is currently pushing Android 4.4.2 to the device right now.

[CES 2014] Nvidia And Epic Games Will Partner To Bring Unreal Engine 4 To Tegra K1

After explaining why the GPU in the just announced Tegra K1 was awesome from an architectural standpoint, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang went on to reveal that Epic Games would be bringing Unreal Engine 4 to mobile devices via the Tegra K1. Nvidia is keen on getting game developers to include improved graphics for Tegra devices, but Unreal Engine 4 support could take Tegra gaming to a whole new level.

[CES 2014] Nvidia Announces Tegra K1 With 192 GPU Cores And Optional 64-Bit Denver CPUs

Nvidia is having its traditional CES press event and has taken the opportunity to reveal some details on its next generation Tegra chip. Nvidia has talked about its mobile plans a little in general terms recently, but now we have a name and some specs to go on. The successor to Tegra 4 will be called the Tegra K1 and it comes in two different versions.
