The Galaxy S4 Zoom is what you get if you hold a Galaxy S4 in one hand, a digital camera in the other, and slam them together. Samsung unveiled the device early in the summer, and while it didn't take long to arrive in other areas of the world, it's only just now coming to the US. Come November 8th, AT&T will become the first camera to offer the Galaxy S4 Zoom on this side of the pond.

Amazon subsidiary Woot.com has taken the wraps off another one of its big tablet sales. This promotion isn't like their normal "one deal a day" operations - the prices will be good until November 1st at 9AM Central, though the individual listings are still limited by stock. The good deals are on refurbished Samsung and Asus hardware, though some of the dirt-cheap tablets you might see in the discount aisle are also there.

Good grief AT&T, there's such a thing as restraint, you know? After launching the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch and taking online orders for the LG G2 and preorders for the Galaxy Note 3 late last night, Ma Bell has one last device up its metaphorical sleeve: the carrier's first ASUS tablet. The ASUS MeMO Pad FHD LTE 10.0 is now available for order from AT&T's online store and through business channels with free shipping thrown in for good measure.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1 is due for a refresh along with its smartphone cousin. If you've been waiting for a high-end Samsung tablet (or just a tablet that's considerably larger than the current 10-inch breed), the folks at Korean site MovePlayer may have spotted it. A single photo of a hitherto unseen Galaxy Note 12.2 bearing the obviously huge screen and Samsung's increasingly ridiculous physical Home button was leaked earlier today.

So it's been a while since LG made a tablet. They aren't the only ones that have been skittish in a market dominated by the iPad and the low-margin Kindle Fire (I don't see Motorola or HTC rushing to make anything new). But as an in-country rival to Samsung, LG's absence has been felt more than others. It looks like the company intends to make a return with the G Pad 8.3, a sequel to the original Optimus Pad.

Mashable is sort of the middle ground for breaking stories and Internet memes: it includes metrics so that the most popular stuff gets to the top, but the formatting and content are friendly enough to appeal to a wider group of users than, say, Reddit. Now there's an official app available in the Play Store. Samsung seems to have secured an exclusive for the launch.

At the moment the description says that you'll need a Galaxy S4, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, or any of the new Galaxy Tab 3 models to download and use the app.

Update: The Nexus 10 32GB is sold out at the reduced price. That's all there is, there isn't any more.

eBay certainly seems to like their Nexus tablets, not that we're complaining. After featuring the new Nexus 7 yesterday (and selling out rather quickly) they've repeated the Daily Deal on the Nexus 10 from exactly one week ago. That's $369.99 for a brand new 32GB Nexus 10, with free shipping to the United States.

One of the biggest complaints about Samsung's latter tablet lines (aside from the plastic builds, outdated specifications, lack of storage, and oh yeah the freakin' smartphone buttons) is that they're too expensive when compared to similar Android tablets. Sammy is hoping to alleviate at least a few of these complaints with some pack-in deals for the Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Tab 3 (all versions), and the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition.

Turn-based strategy is a classic style of gameplay, but it's still pretty big these days with titles like Frozen Synapse hitting Android. But sometimes these games can be a little slow, or even tedious if a not designed well. The developers of TurtleStrike are trying to combine real-time with turn-based gaming in what they call "live turn-based" gameplay. This approach has the potential to make matches proceed quickly, but still allow careful tactical planning.

Recently, Samsung started offering a few perks to those who picked up a Note 8.0 or Galaxy Tab 3, which included either $10 or $25 in Play Store credit, three months of Hulu Plus, and a full year of access to Boingo Wi-fi access (available to new users only). As of now, the company has also extended this offer to Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition (that's a mouthful) owners, and it mirrors the Tab 3's promo exactly:

  • $10 in Play Store Credit
  • 3 Month Hulu Plus Membership (new users only)
  • 12 Months of Boingo Wi-Fi Access (new users only)
