[Deal, I Guess] Grab An Amazon Fire Phone For $125 With Free Shipping, Still Comes With One Year Of Prime

Once upon a time, Amazon made a phone. It was gimmicky and silly, and no one wanted to play with it. After realizing what a horrible mistake it had made, Amazon tried pawning off said phone for stupid-ridiculous prices.

The end.

Oh, and if you basically want to get a phone for like $25, now's the time. I mean, you'll have to deal with knowing you own a Fire Phone, so if you can handle that, then eBay has the deal for you: new phone, free shipping, and it comes with a year of Prime (which is normally $99), all for $125.

Amazon Has The Moto X Pure Edition Up For Pre-Order If You Don't Want To Customize It

Earlier today, Motorola opened pre-orders for the 2015 Pure Edition Moto X. If you don't really care about Moto Maker or customization at all, then Amazon is the way to go - if you're a Prime member you'll get yours just a couple of days after release. It's slated to be released on the 9th of this month, so you'll most likely be one of the first to get your hands on Moto's newest flagship.

It's available in both 16GB and 32GB variants, with three color schemes for each: black, white, and white with a bamboo back. The plain color models (black and white) are both $399 for 16GB and $449 for 32GB, with the bamboo model coming it at $25 more.

Acer Also Showed Off A Predator 'Gaming Phone' At IFA Today

Earlier today, Acer announced a bunch of stuff, including a new gaming tablet called Predator 8. Well, it turns out that it wasn't finished with the mobile gaming stuff, because it also showed off the Predator 6 - a freakin' gaming phone.

I knew eventually I'd have to say those two words right next to each other. I just knew it.

Anyway, yeah. Like its larger brother, it's got quad front speakers, virtual surround sound, and controller-like haptic feedback. Other details are pretty scarce at the moment, but we do know it has 4GB of RAM, a 6-inch display (as its name suggests), and an unnamed deca-core Mediatek processor (most likely a Helio).

Google Keep v3.2 Adds Some Welcome Screens And Loses Some Dead Weight [APK Download]

Google Keep just received a relatively light update, bringing it to version 3.2. This one doesn't bring much in the way of major functional improvements, but there are a couple of things worth noting. There are brand new welcome images to help new (and possibly existing) users figure out how to get the most out of Keep. The apk has also lost a little bit of weight, and it's now ready for the new Android M permission model.

Verizon Updates Its Corporate Logo, And It's Fine

Google isn't the only massive tech company eager to overhaul its corporate image. Today Verizon Communications (not to be confused with Verizon Wireless, which is technically a subsidiary and a separate company) announced a new logo. That's it, above this text you're reading. You can look at it right now. Below is the former logo, which is still emblazoned on basically everything Verizon owns at this point.

Docs Gets 'Research' Feature Allowing You To Use Google To Find And Insert Links And Images Without Leaving App [APK Download]

There are several reasons why it isn't fun to write formatted documents on a phone, but one of the biggest is how arduous the process of doing simple things like hyperlinking or adding images is. Well, Google rolled out an update to the Android app for Docs that makes these tasks far easier. From within the app, you can now perform Google searches, read webpages, and insert links or images in a very user-friendly way.

In the Docs app, you can now use a feature called "Research" in the overflow menu. This brings you an in-app interface to make the process of finding and using external sources way simpler.

Verizon Updates The Galaxy S6 And Galaxy S6 Edge To Android 5.1.1, Adds A Few Extra Goodies Too

Since their release, the Verizon versions of Samsung's 2015 flagships (well, the smaller ones anyway) have been given only a couple of minor service updates. That changes today, at least according to the carrier's support site: both the Galaxy S6 and its curvy brother the S6 Edge are getting bumped from Android 5.0, which they've been running since launch, to 5.1.1, the latest official release. The software version is LMY47X.G920VVRU3BOG5 for both phones.

Lenovo Announces The Yoga Tab 3 And Yoga Tab 3 Pro, Remixed Versions Of Its Unique Tablet Designs

Lenovo's Yoga series of Android tablets has always been unique, with its curvy design and integrated kickstand. Despite a tepid reviewer response to the last generation (mostly to do with a downright awful software skin), the company is powering ahead with a third revision, this time omitting the bombastic 13-inch model and moving some of its features down to the 10-inch version. The more pedestrian Yoga Tab 3 will go on sale in October, with the more spec-heavy Tab 3 Pro starting in November.
