Those of you with a Motorola CLIQ will want to check your phone for new updates, as Motorola is rolling out version 1.4.8 to all users. Sure, it isn’t quite Android 2, but everyone loves bug fixes right?

Google Turns On Universal Suggest In Mobile Search

Today Google announced universal search suggestions on the mobile version of their search page. It has been enabled on all major smartphone platforms, so even our iPhone carrying “friends” should be able to partake.

Google first made this change on the desktop version of the search page back in December, and while it was neat, I can’t say I’ve really played with it since it was released. This probably has more to do with the fact that I just control+K to the search bar in Firefox or Chrome rather than visit the search page itself.

Apple Announces Multitasking For iPhone OS 4, Stabs Android Directly In The Heart

Apple has just announced that iPhone OS 4 will support multitasking, allowing users to dive in and out of apps and keep some parts of an app running in the background while doing other things.

This is all done through a pop-up dock like interface that can be accessed by double pressing the home button. This will bring up all the apps that are currently running in the background.

Steve Jobs said they’ve figured out how to implement multitasking without it being detrimental to battery life or the performance of the phone.

Foursquare, whose check-in software has become widely popular by Android users all over and is only second to Gowalla, may very well be turning down a buyout offer by Yahoo Inc. for a rumored $100 million dollars. Samsung Moment Android 2.1 ROM Leaked, Available For Download

We just got word that the long awaited Samsung Moment 2.1 update ROM was leaked and is available for your flashing pleasures. Android Police seems to be the first Android blog to break the news.

Head over to this SDX-Developers.com forum post to download it. Here is the ROM download link, in case the forum goes down.

SDX forum members have tested the ROM out and found it working, with the exception of some of them not being able to log into the Market.

Finally - The Official Nexus One Car Dock Available At A Whopping $55

The Nexus One became available for sale on January 5th. The Nexus One Desktop Dock accessory was on sale a little over 3 weeks later, on January 27th. Finally on April 6th, almost exactly 4 months after the release of the phone, Google has announced that the car dock is available for purchase.

We were teased with glimpses of the car dock in Google’s Nexus One video series ‘The Story’, specifically in the 5th video titled ‘Day One’ (embedded below).
