A new Motorola phone, codenamed "Edison" and headed for AT&T, has been in the rumor mill for a while now, but today it got in front of the camera when This Is My Next published a hands-on preview of the device.

You could continue to add events to your Google Calendar the old fashioned way, or you could use this super cool (and fun!) method of SMSing things to your GCal.
The process is so easy a caveman could do it, so follow along and you'll be one step closer to speaking (almost) directly to your calendar:
- Add GEvent (48368) to your contacts, name it “Magic Calendar”
- Click and hold the Search button to bring up Google Voice Search and say, “Text to Magic Calendar, Pick up kids 2pm at the Cliffs in Valhalla, New York” (or, you know, whatever event you want to schedule)
- Wait a bit… you should receive a confirmation text and it should show up on your Google Calendar
- Bring up event in your favorite calendar app or widget… click on the link for the location
- Click on bubble to check out Places and to get turn-by-turn directions from your free Google Navigation
- Extra credit – do the step #2 voice search hands-free using VLingo InCar
And that's it. Read More

Like I said, it's probably the most solid security app that we've ever seen.
In a blog post today, the makers of Theft Aware, ITAgents, announced that it has been been purchased by popular antivirus software company Avast. Read More

Not into the girl-centric HTC Rhyme? How about 5GB of free cloud storage courtesy of Dropbox to sweeten the deal? No? Fine. Regardless of whether or not this makes the Rhyme more appealing to the testosterone-fueled among us, HTC has joined forces with Dropbox to up the amount of free cloud storage from 2GB to 5GB on all new and upcoming Sense 3.5 devices.
If you're hoping that your device will snag a Sense 3.5 update and some bonus cloud space to go with it, I wouldn't suggest holding your breath. Read More
It's a bittersweet feeling when one of the most revolutionary devices to hit the market ends up on a carrier's EOL (End of Life) list. While it's generally realized that the device itself is old hat, its retirement indicates that newer, better, and more powerful devices are upon us.
This is the case for one of Android's most celebrated success stories: the HTC EVO 4G. According an internal Sprint document obtained by SprintFeed, the white variant of the EVO 4G will meet its demise at the end of this week, while the black one will hang on for just a while longer -- at least until the first part of October.
