BlackBerry Bought AndroidSecured.com and .net Domains, Is This More Evidence Of An Android Device On The Way?

On July 7th, the domains AndroidSecured.com and AndroidSecured.net were registered to BlackBerry Limited, the firm formerly known as Research In Motion (RIM) that presides over the one-time dominant smartphone platform. Below is a screenshot of one of the registration records with the area of interest highlighted.

It's no secret that BlackBerry has seen better days. One of their more-publicized efforts to revitalize interest in the OS has been the addition of compatibility with Android apps and, more recently, loading the Amazon Appstore on the newest OS versions.

The Messenger app published by Google received a significant #updatewednesday release this morning, adding support for location sharing, stickers, and quick scrolling. All things, I think we can agree, which are good.

The new location sharing and sticker features, found under the "attach" dialogue, look like this.

You can download new sticker packs (there are currently three), and some of the stickers are even animated.

Fleksy Keyboard Updated To v6.0, Goes Free With Optional In-App Purchases

Google's default keyboard has gotten really good, to the point that it's hard to actually charge for a keyboard app even if it has a few tricks up its sleeve. Just like SwiftKey last year, Fleksy has now gone free in the Play Store (and Amazon Appstore). Instead of paying an upfront price, there are themes and extensions that you can purchase if you so choose.
