You probably know Team17 as the game developer behind the massively popular Worms franchise. That's not all Team17 has ever done, though. Back in 1993 it produced a much lauded platformer in the vein of Sonic or Mario Bros. called Superfrog. It was overshadowed by Worms, which came out in 1995, but fans of the miraculous amphibian will be happy to know the game is back.

Superfrog includes 24 levels (plus boss battles) across six different worlds as you try to save the princess from the (allegedly) evil witch.

2014GalaxyNote10.1-Thumb

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition isn't the most affordable tablet, but thanks to this latest deal, you can shave a couple hundred dollars off the price of one. Samsung's slate is currently available on eBay for $339.99, which is the lowest price we've seen it hit yet. Granted, this is a refurbished unit, but it should still look fine and run even better. Considering Amazon wants over $500 to part with a new one, a tablet that may have been lightly used in a past life is well worth considering.

Though we just finished up our rumor recap for pre-I/O leaks and rumors, we've received information regarding Google's plans for the Play Store suggesting that Google may be building cross-device app restoration into the store's Android app.

Information is sparse so far, but from what's available to us, it appears that Google may be working on new functionality to restore apps and "data" to a new device, based on the data accrued on another device.

One of the drawbacks of going with a prepaid carrier is that you have to pay full price for your phone at the time of purchase – no subsidies or payment plans. Going with Net 10 might seem like a more viable option today, though, with an extra $100 off the Moto X via Moto Maker.

AdobeReader-Thumb

The Adobe Reader app has received another update that brings in a couple of new features for Android users who turn to it for their PDF-handling needs. The little piece of software can already handle reading files just fine, but for people who would rather hold a physical copy of a text in their hands, the latest version should better help with that. KitKat printing support is now bundled in, so users can print to any printers that they have saved to their devices.

Chromecast-Thumb

Earlier today Google flipped a switch enabling the screen casting feature it unveiled at Google I/O. If you have one of the supported devices, you don't have to do a thing to try it out. Just fire up Quick Settings and hit the screen cast icon. But if this isn't discoverable enough, Google has also updated the Chromecast app to bring more attention to the feature.

What's New

A Cast Screen option is now available in the navigation sidebar.

Update Wednesday is in full swing today with Chromecast, Google Camera, and now Gmail. It's not the Material Design update you were hoping for, but Gmail v4.9 adds at least one new feature in the form of Google Drive integration.

Google's Camera app just got a bump up to version 2.3 (rolling out in stages of course), which adds a very welcome feature - remote shutter functionality for Android Wear devices.

We saw hints of this functionality inside the code of a previous version of the Camera app, but now that Wear devices have hit release, it's finally live. Users need only open the Camera app on their phone or tablet, and Wear will automatically insert a card for remote capture.

XperiaZ2Tablet-Thumb

The Xperia Z2 Tablet is just about ready to hit the US, and as expected, it's coming as a Verizon exclusive. The carrier will part with the tablet for $599.99, though for a limited time, it's willing to let go of one for $499.99 with a new two-year contract (how nice of them, right?). Pre-orders are going up tomorrow, with the tablet becoming available for purchase in stores and online July 17th.

Google showed off screen casting from Android at Google I/O, and we've been seeing hints of it in KitKat for months, and now it's suddenly real. Google has thrown the switch and enabled casting on a number of Android devices, and it works with sound too.
