Dead Zebra Android Mini Series 06 is now available with Ben Franklin, Purple, Hot Dog, along with new collectible pins

Dead Zebra makes one of our favorite collectible items as Android fans: mini figurines shaped like our beloved green robot but designed and painted to look like different weird and funny and cute characters. The sixth series is now out on Dead Zebra's site with designs from 9 different artists and a purple theme.

There's, obviously, a solid purple design, aptly named Purple, but also Ben Franklin, Hot Dog (with mini bottles of ketchup and mustard), Amanita with a removable standalone mushroom, Queen and King for the card players, and more. Here are the 13 designs that have been revealed.

There are 3 more, but those are kept under a secret blanket.

Pokémon GO Plus companion accessory to be available September 16 in most countries

The Pokémon GO phenomenon might be on a decline now compared to its peak in mid-July, but that doesn't mean the game isn't still very popular. Just yesterday, it passed 500 Million downloads on Android and iOS, a feat that usually takes years for any other app, even those that came from Facebook and Google. And if that isn't enough to show how popular the game is, you only have to see the new "Catching Pokémon" activity type in Google Maps that sits at the same level as running, walking, driving, and so on.

Niantic has a couple of interesting additions to keep as many players interested in the game.

New mapmaker feature available for Local Guides in Google Maps

You might have received notifications from Google Maps for the last few months, asking you some information about places you've visited. For example, after I left McDonalds a few days ago Google Maps asked me if it was a "good place for parties" (I guess?). Answering those questions gets you points on Google Maps' Local Guide program, and after accumulating enough points, you can level up.

I myself am just a Level 2 'Local Guide', but Google has released new features to Level 4+ guides. Numerous people have sent us tips about a new 'Improve the map near you' section on the Contribute tab.

YouTube's Android app seems to be getting yet another design revamp, this time in the form of a navigation change. Google and Box partner to make working in the cloud more powerful

Today, Google took to its Work blog to announce the new partnership between Google Apps for Work and Box. The latter will now integrate with Docs and Springboard for further efficiency in business practices. Box will also serve as a third-party repository for Docs, Sheets, and Slides. The cool thing about that is users will be able to create new files and edit collaboratively within Box itself.

Google also announced that it is working to integrate its Springboard enterprise search tool with Box. Through this, users can find the information or files they need regardless of where that all may be hosted — whether that is in Gmail, Drive, Docs, or Box.

Despite much of the hype wearing off, Pokemon GO is still one of the most successful mobile games of all time. The game has become a cultural phenomenon, not to mention a money-maker for Niantic Labs, The Pokemon Company, and Nintendo. But just how many downloads has Pokemon GO achieved? Over 500 million across Android and iOS, according to a press release from earlier today.

500 million is a bit difficult to wrap your brain around, so let's try to compare it with other well-known mobile games. Pokemon GO has yet to beat out the Angry Birds franchise, with the original game being downloaded over 3 billion times as of July 2015.

Quick Snapseed update fixes a bug that deleted some original photos after editing

Graphic designers know the pain of saving a project and accidentally writing over their only copy of an original photo. Last week Snapseed users knew that pain too, because at least a few of them were experiencing a frustrating bug that did the same thing. While the bug wasn't widespread (we couldn't replicate it on our own phones, for example), multiple Reddit users said that sending a photo to Snapseed via the Share menu could either delete or overwrite the original non-edited photo.
