The ZTE Maven 2 is one of many phones offered on AT&T PREPAID (previously AT&T GoPhone), and currently goes for $39.99 from the carrier. Honeywell smart thermostats now support Google Assistant

Google's own Nest smart thermostat supported Assistant commands very early on, but Honeywell makes a lot of similar products that were not supported. That changes today with the announcement that Honeywell's Lyric and Total Connect Comfort thermostats will work with Assistant. There's a bit of setup required, but it's fast.

HMD Global uploads Nokia Camera app to the Play Store

It's a pretty common practice for manufacturers to upload their custom system applications to the Play Store. This is done so the apps can be updated outside of Android system updates. The Nokia phones produced by HMD Global are pretty close to stock Android, but there are a few custom apps. One of these is the Camera application, which has now been published to the Play Store.

Hands-on with Adapticons: Making your own icons was never this easy or customizable

There was a time when I could spend hours setting up a new homescreen on my phone. Choosing a new wallpaper, finding the best icon placement and alignment, obsessing about icon pack zips and rars until I stumbled upon the perfect one for my setup, then adding and moving and removing widgets to fit with everything. Now, I just open Backdrops from time to time to get a new wallpaper and I keep the same homescreen setup without even bothering with icon packs. The reasons I've abandoned icon packs are many: learning curve to spot your icons under new designs, it's rare to find a pack that covers all my icons, and icon masks, just like Android O's new adaptive icons, are plain terrible.

Plex Live TV and DVR is out of beta and available for Android

It wasn't too long ago that Plex showed off its new Live TV feature, which you can read about here. That was just a beta, with a limited number of supported platforms (Android TV, iOS, and Plex web).
