[CES 2013] The Rest Of Alcatel's CES Lineup – One Touch Evo 7/HD, Tab 7/HD, Tab 8 HD, And One Touch S'Pop, T'Pop, X'Pop

After revealing the "world's thinnest" smartphone earlier today with the One Touch Idol Ultra (at a svelte 6.45mm), Alcatel has let fly news about the rest of their planned CES 2013 lineup.

Alcatel's got more devices in line than you've got pockets, from a pair of 7" tablets (in standard and HD variants) to a bevy of "Pop" smartphones, all of them apparently aiming squarely for the budget market. Grab a snack, because we're going to take a peek at the full array.

[The Weekend Poll] Who's Going To Make The Biggest Splash At This Year's CES?

With CES just days away, we're about to head into a dense week of tech product news. New devices across the board - phones, tablets, accessories, TV's, speakers, cameras, and more. A large chunk of those product announcements will probably, at least in some roundabout way, be relevant to Android.

But it's the phones and tablets I think that we're all most excited for, and that will probably make the biggest bang during this year's show overall.

Vodafone UK To Begin Offering 'Nearly New' Smartphones To Pay-As-You-Go Customers

It's easy for the tech world to forget that not everyone is looking to buy a new $200 phone on contract every six months. Vodafone UK hasn't forgotten, though. The British carrier is launching a new service to help put top-tier smartphones in the hands of pay-as-you-go customers by selling them lightly used hardware. More specifically, phones exchanged within the carrier's 7-day return window.

If you're buying a phone without a contract, the up-front cost would be slightly cheaper, as one would expect from a used device.

[Weekend Poll And News Roundup] Which New Android Phone Are You Most Looking Forward To In 2013?

Welcome to the Android Police Weekend Poll and News Roundup. For last week's poll and roundup, see What Twitter App Are You Using?

As we near the end of 2012, the rumor mill for 2013 is already churning away. Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal published a report on a Motorola 'X Phone' project being headed up by a former Googler, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm dying to see a Google-Moto mashup, especially if the premise is trying new and interesting things.

Xperia TX Review: Just Another Pretty Sony Phone That Isn't Very Good

If you're not much a classic car nut, and you were to walk up to a stylish little 1968 Opel GT, like this one, you'd probably think "Wow, is that... Italian? It must be fast (for its age)."

Of course, you would be wrong. The Opel GT is, in fact, based on the rather pedestrian Opel Kadett - seen here. The GT was not particularly quick, expensive, or really even that rare.

T-Mobile Set To Carry Google's Nexus 4 And 3G Nexus 7 As Premier Launch Partner

In addition to the absolute mania of incoming announcements we saw from Google today, there was one interesting carrier-related development for the Nexus line – T-Mobile, the US' fourth largest carrier, announced that it would be carrying Google's LG-built Nexus 4 and ASUS-built 3G Nexus 7 as a "premier launch partner" starting this November. In fact, users can already sign up for more info at T-Mobile's website.
