Lately, some of you have been expressing your displeasure about the amount of Pixel 2-related issues we've been reporting on. Xiaomi has never shied away from copying Apple, especially when it comes to design. Xiaomi just released the Mi Mix 2, with roughly the same design as last year's model, and is a pretty great device (Jordan is in the process of reviewing it). But it looks like another variation could be in the works, one that looks far more like an iPhone X.

Pixel 2's muted mic issue may be fixed by blowing into the bottom speaker Nintendo-style

Half the utility of a smartphone is obvious from its very name. At a minimum, it should be able to make calls, which requires a working mic and speaker. For some, half of that simple equation is missing when it comes to the Pixel 2 and its microphone. When making calls, it just doesn't work. The current workaround is straight out of an NES-equipped childhood: blow into it.

Just about a month ago, the "what's this song" music identification functionality started to roll out to Assistant on both of the new Pixel 2 phones. Google's voice search (for instance, via "Google Now") had this functionality for a long time, but for whatever reason, the transition to the new Assistant stripped that feature away. Although it was back for the Pixel 2, it appears that music recognition in the Assistant is now rolling out to non-Google devices as well.
