T-Mobile Offers Buy One, Get One Half Off Prices On Samsung And LG Flagship Phones, But Not On The Web

Cars. Houses. Contracted electronics. These are items for which the old "buy one, get one" scheme rarely works. But since T-Mobile has ostensibly given up cellular contracts, it makes a sort of sense... at least if you're buying phones for more than one person on the same plan. The carrier is now offering a buy one, get one 50% off discount on all versions of the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 5, the LG G4, and the LG V10, as well as the latest two generations of iPhones.

All colors and capacities sold by T-Mobile are eligible, and you can purchase up to 12 phones at a time(!) and apply the discounts.

The 'Until Next Alarm' Bug In Do Not Disturb Mode Returns, Will Probably Be There Until Google Patches It

Well this is frustrating. The bug that caused the "Until Next Alarm" function of Android's Do Not Disturb mode to disappear, which manifested itself in late December on a number of Android phones running Lollipop 5.1 and later, is back. The timing of the month seems more than coincidental. Since the problem manifested late in December, presumably Google didn't have time to implement a fix in the latest round of scheduled Android updates.

It looks like this will keep occurring at the tail end of the month until Google fixes it - hopefully in the latest round of Nexus updates.

Google Play Store Comments Section On Android Switches To A Single Thumbs Up And Spam Feedback

Lately, Google has been experimenting with some changes to its Play Store reviews section to make as much information available at a glance as possible. That's why it added review highlights where you could see the most frequent terms found inside the comments with small samples from different reviews. And recently it began slightly tweaking the way users interact with these reviews, probably in an effort to streamline feedback submission for others' comments.

Previously, the Play Store would show a small thumbs up / thumbs down icon next to each review where you could quickly give feedback on whether or not it's useful.

Google Now Notification Icons Have Started Getting Tagged With A 'G' Badge

When Google thinks it knows something you might be interested in, like a middle schooler at lunch time, it has to get this information off its chest. Usually this comes in the form of a Google Now notification.

These are marked by blue icons containing a symbol that indicate what type of information you're about to read, such as a cloud for weather or a soccer ball for sports. Now these images have badges with Google's logo.

The Galaxy S7 Rumor Breakdown: What's Plausible, What Isn't, And What We Still Don't Know

The Galaxy S7 is coming. It will be the most-anticipated Android smartphone of 2016 [relative the general populace], because it will likely be the best selling single model of Android smartphone of 2016. It will almost certainly be announced next month in the lead-up to MWC. As such, the number of rumors and general crap flying around about the Galaxy S7 right now is slowly going critical, and you're probably seeing a lot of it mucking up your readers and social feeds. The question is: what do you believe?

At this point, the summary is: not much. There are a few key tidbits out there I think really worth paying attention to, but there's also a lot of speculation and general rumor-mongering going on that makes it difficult to separate plausible, reliable information from something that would be better off on a fan forum with other fiction.
