With the OnePlus 5 now confirmed for a summer release, design and spec leaks have started to emerge much more frequently. The successor to the popular flagship-on-a-budget OnePlus 3/3T is shaping up to be another powerful device, with rumors also suggesting it will have an in vogue dual camera set-up. Now, thanks to Android Authority, we have an image of an alleged prototype to whet our appetite further. Read More
Over the last year or so, OTA updates to the T-Mobile and Verizon versions of devices in the US have been happening almost at the same time or at least within a very short time period of each other. This is the case with the LG Stylo 2. The T-Mobile variant got the update two days ago (after a false alarm back in February) and now the Verizon one is following suite.
This variant is actually called the Stylo 2 V, because Verizon likes to slap letters to the names of phones when it can, and it's a midranger by all standards. But all phones deserve Nougat equally and this new VS83520b build number is delivering it to the Stylo 2 V. Read More
So you've been looking at that new HTC U11 and itching to the edge of your senses to grab one. Maybe you've resisted the urge all of yesterday but can you fight the temptation when you could get a small deal on it that lowers the price by $50 to $599? That's going to be your dilemma for today.
If you use promo codes JUST4U11, ONLY4U11, or LOVEU11, you'll get this small — but nice — $50 discount on the HTC U11. Some users have reported the codes not working but I just verified all of them on the unlocked version of the U11 and a few on the Sprint version: they applied just fine. Read More
Yesterday it was reported that Google could be planning to release a standalone VR headset at I/O this week, and now we may have further evidence in the form of a trademark filing at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Google has registered the term "WORLDSENSE," which we presume will be styled as either WorldSense or Worldsense. The filing, from 9th May 2017, states that it relates to computer hardware, computer software, and virtual reality headsets. Read More
OTA updates are amazingly unpredictable. Sometimes, the US versions of devices get them first and international variants have to wait weeks and months, other times it's just the opposite. The latter is the case of the LG G5. My fiancé's unlocked model got the OTA around last December in Lebanon, but apparently the US unlocked version has been lingering on Marshmallow until now. That's a 6-month delay — whoa.
Well, the OTA is finally (never has this adverb been so rightfully used) rolling out to that variant of the G5, which is lovingly called the RS988. It weighs over 1300MB and when it installs, it pushes your device up to software version RS98821a, Android 7.0, with the April security updates. Read More
What's better than a small price drop or a 10-cent deal on a nice app? Free. As in you pay nothing and you get something in return. How about that for a business and economy lesson? And today you can benefit from this kind of deal on edjing PRO.
I don't know much about the art of DJing, but it looks like edjing is one of the leading mixer apps on Android. You can use songs stored on your device or grab tunes from SoundCloud, Vimeo, or Deezer, then put them together, change the order, match the bpms, prepare the transitions, and save the finished sets. At last year's I/O, Google dipped its toe into the virtual reality waters by announcing Daydream (above). Like Gear VR before it, Daydream requires a phone to be inserted into a headset to operate. However, Variety is reporting that Google is set to unveil a VR headset that is completely standalone—no phone required. Read More
