Championship Manager 17 returns for another free-to-play go around the soccer field

Another year, another round of soccer manager games. The first up for Android this fall is Square-Enix's franchise Championship Manager, or as it's more entertainingly known to players, "Champ Man." This one is named 17, because that's one more than the year we're in right now. As is tradition.

The Asus ZenWatch 3 will probably feature a round display

The Asus ZenWatch was one of my favorite first-gen Wear devices, but I wasn't quite as smitten with the aggressively priced ZenWatch 2. It was like a cheaper, clunkier version of the first watch. The upcoming ZenWatch 3 might be a departure from Asus' square design. Ausdroid has spotted an FCC filing for the ZenWatch 3, which doesn't usually contain much useful information. This time, the label seems to have outed the ZenWatch 3 as a round device.

Meizu announces the iPhone-esque M3E, continues trend of good value

Meizu's phone designs are usually derivative of more popular phones' designs, and the M3E changes nothing in this respect. No matter which way you slice it, it just looks like an iPhone 6s. However, that's not to say that the M3E is bad; on paper, it actually sounds pretty awesome. Of course, all of this is pretty standard Meizu behavior.

The M3E appears to be the same phone that was leaked earlier this week as the M1E.

Reigns from Devolver Digital takes the Tinder approach to medieval kingdom management

Decisions are the essence of drama. You can have ten thousand explosions go off in every second of your story, but until someone decides what to do about them, nobody will care. The latest mobile game from prolific publisher Devolver Digital gets that: it's an odd mix between a card game and Tinder with a cartoon medieval setting. In Reigns, each tiny decision builds up a procedurally-generated story of your time spent as king.

Updates to Google's default calculator app aren't usually a big deal, but this one is... okay, it's still not a big deal. However, it's interesting. This whole time, the calculator didn't have number grouping, which was weird. Now it does.

ZTE will now unlock the US versions of the Axon Pro and Axon 7 upon request

ZTE has been making some fine devices lately, and one of them is the Axon 7 which just went on sale a couple of weeks ago. The problem ZTE faces with enthusiasts though is the locked bootloader on its phones. This complicates things a lot for custom ROM enthusiasts as well as developers and modders who like to tinker with their devices.

But that situation is about to be resolved now. ZTE has announced that it will unlock the bootloader of the US versions of both the ZTE Axon 7 and Axon Pro, but only if you ask nicely. The requests will be processed on the Z-Community forums, within the Developers Lounge sub-space, and ZTE says it's reserved to "those with a high level of technical expertise and have had experience flashing custom ROMs." It's not clear whether or not it plans to verify that about each person who submits a request, or how exactly that'll be done.
