Every power user has a favorite file manager. It doesn't matter how many are installed or why, there is always one that takes the lead position. Of course, as new features become popular, it's not uncommon for people to switch out their favorite app to pull up one that offers whatever they need. The new must-have among file managers is support for writing to the SD card on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The update everyone has been waiting for is finally here - YouTube has been updated with some material design goodness. The app's makeover is essentially what you'd expect - along with circular avatars (per Google's spec), it features a tall, tabbed toolbar in YouTube's signature vibrant red brand color, a full-height material nav drawer, and a clean white background.

Channels receive special attention, with Lollipop's Palette API pulling colors from the channel art to color the app's toolbar.

Developer Iwo Banaś is not having a good week. The free version of his SCR Screen Recorder app, which we featured on Android Police last month, was unceremoniously kicked off of the Play Store for "Violation of the System Interference provision of the Content Policy." Exactly what that means is outlined in a Google Support document: basically it says that ads can't impersonate portions of the Android interface or imply that they're something that they're not, like a fake virus warning or Facebook message.

Welcome to the latest entry in our Bonus Round series, wherein we tell you all about the new Android games of the day that we couldn't get to during our regular news rounds. Consider this a quick update for the dedicated gamers who can't wait for our bi-weekly roundups, and don't want to wade through a whole day's worth of news just to get their pixelated fix. Today we've got an intentionally farcical football game, a strangely addictive ninja slasher, and a game about a moose that lives in the jungle.

What are some of the most common elements of modern-day 2D platformers? Let's list them out in no particular order: 8-bit visuals, making the game brutally difficult, drawing everything as a silhouette... Electronic Super Joy: Groove City has all of these elements, along with an electronic soundtrack that you will absolutely want to plug in earphones for. The game, which debuted on Steam earlier this summer, may have a few familiar chords and overused lyrics, but it's a welcome addition to the Play Store, where it now resides priced at $4.99.

It can help to have a visual aid when trying to get something done, but what sort of style? Most to-do apps use lists, of course. DropTask is a little different—it lets you create flow charts of nested circles to represent the different tasks you have to get done.

Feedly has really thrived in the wake of Google Reader's demise, but its developers haven't exactly made the app the best that it could be. For far too long now, the settings menu has held onto the Gingerbread era, even while the rest of the experience gradually modernized. With Feedly version 25, the team has finally put this issue to bed. Now when you start tinkering around with the various options, it will actually look like you're using something designed in 2014.

I must confess, I've never seen the appeal of Twitch: why watch other people play video games when you can play them yourself, on the thing you're using to watch them? But enough other people seem to enjoy it that Amazon gobbled up the livestreaming service, and now something very similar has come to Android. Shou.TV is a beta app and service that basically does exactly what Twitch does, but on your phone instead.

It took a while to get the bootloader situation figured out, but there are finally some ROMs showing up for the LG G3 on AT&T. There's even a build of CyanogenMod 11, which was just posted today. It's a nightly, but it's still official support.
