Did you buy a Samsung Galaxy S5 or an HTC One M8 recently? Prepare to be disappointed. In addition to rumors of a souped-up Galaxy S5 "Prime," the reliable Evleaks has posted what appears to be a full 360-degree rendering of an even newer flagship from HTC. The so-called One M8 Prime looks like a bigger, badder version of the M8 - note the relatively huge bump for the primary camera and a more flat and less rounded design overall. Read More
We've been hearing about Android Silver, a leaked program between Google and manufacturers to promote quality, standardized Android hardware, for about six weeks now. Today Evleaks, whose consistent pre-release info is almost always spot-on, weighed in on the subject. According to Evan 'Evleaks' Blass, the Silver program is currently scheduled to go into effect in February of next year. Oh, and there won't be a Nexus 6.
There is no Nexus 6.
There is an unspoken rule that a ruggedized phone must be ugly as sin. The leaked Kyocera Brigadier sure looks ruggedized, as evidenced by the less than attractive design. What's it look like? Imagine a Casio G'zOne, but perhaps even uglier.
Samsung is about to launch the much anticipated Galaxy S5, and you could be forgiven for thinking the renders below are of a GS5 at first glance. But no – it's allegedly the upcoming Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 courtesy of @evleaks.
It's a foregone conclusion at this point that Google is getting into the wearables game with a smart watch sometime this year. The specifics for the device are still somewhat hazy, but now we have an idea what the specs might be thanks to noted leaker of things, @evleaks.
According to @evleaks, the device is being made by LG and will have a 1.65-inch LCD running a resolution of 280x280. Read More
Another week closer to HTC's big New York event, another huge leak from the indefatigable Evleaks. This time he's taken to Google+ to show off what looks like a first-party case for the HTC M8 (a.k.a. "The New HTC One"). This case it unlike any we've seen thus far: instead of a transparent "window" like the ones that Samsung and LG have been using for their flagships, this one appears to be covered in tiny holes, allowing the screen below to flash simple messages. HTC isn't going to get its big reveal next month – it looks like the new HTC One (or whatever they call it) is going to be old news by then. This time we have a new press shot from @evleaks of the device with AT&T branding.
The leaks of the HTC M8 keep rolling in. The latest one comes to us courtesy of @evleaks, and it shows a possible black version of HTC's upcoming flagship with the new Sense 6. Oh, and it's in a case. Though it looks like there's nothing behind the cutout on the upper right side, so as usual, make of these leaks what you will.
At this point, we've seen enough to expect another unibody phone made of aluminum, only this time the handset's packing not one, but two rear-facing cameras. Read More
A bit of new information out of @evleaks points to possible specs for the still unannounced Sony Xperia Tablet Z2. The first one was a big departure for Sony's past tablet designs, but it was also a good device. If the leaked specs are to be believed, the sequel is going to be a lot like the first one – a little too much like it, perhaps.
Always a reliable source of exciting info not yet intended for public consumption, @evleaks has just tweeted a screenshot labeled plainly "M8," the implication being that we're looking at a screenshot from HTC's yet-unnamed flagship phone. The screenshot looks pretty sharp, featuring white iconography on KitKat-style translucent system bars, and familiar HTC-flavored launcher icons. Read More
