Grammarly releases Android keyboard to make your grammar more better

Spell check is, thankfully, something that smartphones support in this day and age. Grammar is a tougher nut to crack, though. On the desktop, Grammarly offers tools that go beyond a simple spell check, and now you can do that on Android, too. The new Grammarly Keyboard will pedantically pick apart everything you write in search of grammatical errors. However, it's a little lacking in actual keyboard features.

[Update: Allo too] You can speak to Assistant in Korean on your phone and Android Wear watch

At I/O this year, Google promised support for the Korean language would be coming by the end of the year to Assistant. Then at the October Pixel event a couple of weeks ago, Google also stated that Actions on Google (third-party Assistant integrations from different services) now support Korean. Between then and now, it appears that support for the Korean language has gone live on Assistant.

Android 8.0 Oreo beta hits Nokia 5, will arrive on Nokia 6 soon

Nokia's actually been doing very well in the update game for its new line of phones under HMD, with incredibly quick security patch releases and software betas. For instance, the 'flagship' Nokia 8 got an Oreo beta back in late October, with the full update issued just a month later. Now development is trickling down to the lower-end models, namely the Nokia 5 and 6. The Oreo beta for the Nokia 5 is out now, with the 6's coming soon.

Google launches two new gimmicky photography apps on Android

Google is wild for all this machine learning and computational photography stuff lately. That's good because it has led to innovations like HDR+ and Google Photos. Google's researchers are also constantly coming up with neat little demos, some of which are packaged up as apps. Case in point, the newly launched Storyboard and Selfissimo apps in the Play Store. You can check them out right now, but don't expect a lot of functionality. Both apps are one-trick-ponies.

Android 8.0 Oreo beta ROM for Galaxy Note8 leaked
