[I Know What You Did Last Tuesday] Blinq Overlays Your Contacts' Social Updates On Top Of Your Messaging Conversations

Oh my. This is creepy. And cool. Very cool. It has stalker-like potential and unequivocal convenience. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Imagine you get a message from a contact, through SMS, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, or other apps. You start talking to said contact and they go on blabbering about some very important event that happened in their life. You haven't the faintest idea what that is because, let's face it, you do not have the luxury of spending your entire day checking Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Plus, between all these networks, you follow a thousand people at least, so do they all expect you to keep up with their dog's latest trim and their baby's first burp?

WhatsApp's Calling Feature Starts Making A Shy Appearance For A Few Users

You know the WhatsApp calling feature that has been rumored for almost a year and supposed to roll out by the end of 2014? Well, it seems to be here, a few months late, and with a major caveat for now.

Reddit user pradnesh07 has come across the feature by receiving a WhatsApp call from a friend. That's how the option is presumably activated for each user, in an invite-like system where you have to get called by someone who already has it enabled. Here is the app's updated UI and how the calling interface is supposed to look.

Pradnesh07 went on to call a few users too, trying to trigger a cascade of invites from his device.

Flipboard Topics Are Live For Readers In The UK And India

Oh Flipboard, you had me at "Indian Food." Then you lost me at "Royal Baby." Then I liked you again when you mentioned "Fish and Chips." But I hate you now because you only want to be friends with British and Indian people. I'll have you know, some subjects are international. But you, dear reader, don't have to stand next to me in this feud, especially if you live in one of these two countries since you should be able to benefit from Flipboard's new Topics feature.

Launched this past October, Topics was only available to U.S and Canadian readers, allowing them to narrow down their interest scope to specific subjects instead of general tags.

Think Most Carriers Are Vultures? This T-Mobile Data Stash Ad Agrees

We in the US have a love-hate (but mostly hate) relationship with our cell phone providers. Even when they do manage to provide us with decent coverage, they tend to be real jerks about it, charging us high base prices along with added fees for anything they can get away with. And at the end of each month, they eat away whatever data is left unused, like vultures.

TMoAd

T-Mobile has released a Data Stash ad (no, not that one) that pounces on that last issue in particular. Following an Un-carrier announcement made at the end of 2014, the magenta carrier lets you build up your unused data over the course of a year, so that if you have a slow month in March, you can reap the benefits in April and May.

US Cellular Lowers Prepaid Plan Prices, Now Starts At $45 For 1GB Of High Speed Data

US Cellular has announced that it's lowering the price of its Simple Connect Prepaid plans. Customers can get 1GB of 4G LTE for $45 a month, 2GB for $55, and 4GB for $65. The carrier won't cut off data after you hit any of these limits, but it will slow your connection down.

The prepaid game is heating up. Boost Mobile announced roughly a week ago that it will soon offer its cheapest prepaid smartphone plan for $35, with users getting 1GB of high speed data. Cricket has decided that it can not only match that price, it will do one better and offer 2.5GB for the same amount of money.

We're Giving Away Five TYLT VÜ Wireless Charging Car Mounts Because They're Awesome

It's no secret that TYLT makes one of the best wireless Qi charging pads on the market, but did you know they did a car mount (or rather, will be doing - it's not out quite yet)? The VÜ Wireless Charging Car Mount (see our hands-on here) brings what people love about the desktop VU charger to your vehicle. Its ultra-sticky suction cup mount (and trust me, it is sticky) ensures the VÜ will attach itself to lightly textured or smooth surfaces with ease and assurance.

Like the desktop mount, the car charger is a 3-coil system that makes it easy to line up pretty much any Qi-enabled phone (Nexus 6 included) without fussing too much, and it'll look pretty good doing it, to boot.
