NVIDIA rolled out the Marshmallow update to the SHIELD K1 tablet late last year, but what of the shockingly similar original SHIELD Tablet? It was left to suffer on Lollipop. [Deal Alert] Best Buy's Gold Nexus 6P Comes With A $25 Gift Card On Top Of The Valentine's Day $50 Discount

A few days ago, we saw the price of the new Nexus devices drop by $50 at various retailers as a promo for Valentine's Day. The Google Store had discounts applied on all different variants of the Nexus 5X and 6P, but Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H had only removed the $50 from a few of the color and storage options.

Best Buy was among the sellers discounting the Nexus 6P, but only in gold, and it turns out that the retailer has one more trick to sway your decision its way instead of the Google Store's or Amazon's: an additional gift card. When you add the 32GB ($449) or 64GB ($499) gold Nexus 6P to your cart, you'll see a free Best Buy $25 show up with it.

Cortana Adds A Homescreen Widget For Fast Access To Voice Searches And Reminders

Microsoft's Cortana has been available on Android for about 2 months, but shortly after its launch, it got an update to remove the Hey Cortana hotword (though that remained functional in Cyanogen OS) because of potential conflicts with Google's own Ok Google. That dampened a bit the app's utility as it became slightly more difficult to launch when in a hurry.

This update to version 1.4.0 tries to circumvent the issue by adding a homescreen widget. It has a big Ask Cortana button that launches voice searches immediately, a list of your upcoming events and reminders, and another button to add a reminder.

AirDroid 3.2 Update Adds Clipboard And Keyboard Sharing Between Phones And PCs, Skype Notification Reply Support, And More

It's no secret that we at Android Police are huge fans of AirDroid. A big part of that is because the developer is constantly updating the app with new features. So it is with the latest version, 3.2, which adds a handful of new goodies to the remote management tool. Some of these require use with an updated version of the dedicated desktop app (instead of the more popular browser version).

The coolest addition to the program is the ability to type directly into input fields on your phone with your computer's keyboard, which is now the best possible solution for typing on Android until someone releases a mechanical keyboard five inches wide.
