One of the most popular alternate launchers, ADW Launcher, perhaps known best for being bundled with CyanogenMod, has just received a welcome update. Version 1.20 now grants you the ability to fluidly resize your widgets, much like the launcher provided by MOTOBLUR. This allows you to treat your desktop much more like a customizable canvas than a rigid set of squares.

Along with this update, developer Ander Webbs also released an auxiliary service called ADW Notifier.

Hot in the heels of the incredible $100 Amazon deal on Sprint's flagship EVO 4G, we found ourselves looking at the same price tag on an even more expensive and more recent 4G device - the Samsung Epic 4G. Retailing for $249.99 at Sprint, the best deal we've seen on an Epic so far was $200 at both Amazon and Wirefly.

What we're looking at today is a brand new Epic 4G for $99.99 on a new 2-year contract, with free 2-day shipping and no tax.

Two-for-one on this post: Japanese carrier KDDI revealed this morning that they'll be selling a customized version of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab. On a similar tablet note, it looks like the Advent Vega will be joining the list of budget Android tablets that won't have the market. Turns out we've never covered the Vega either, so I'll provide a few extra details on it. Let's start with the Galaxy Tab: what's custom about it?

It all makes sense now. GetJar's servers crashing, the number of times our post announcing the arrival of the full version of Angry Birds was re-tweeted, the amount of cash Rovio, the company behind Angry Birds, must be rolling in right now...

Rovio has just tweeted out just how many times their incredibly addictive Angry Birds game has been downloaded, and frankly, they've got a huge hit on their hands.

The Flipout, Motorola's latest AT&T-bound Android phone, isn't exactly the most exciting device on the planet - this isn't even the first time we're seeing the square little bugger - and considering the fact that the Droid 2 can now be had for the low-low price of just $0.01, I suspect that charging $79.99 (or $349 off contract) won't win over many new customers for AT&T.

Nevertheless, for those of you who don't mind a 2.8-inch QVGA display, Amazon's touting the Flipout for the same price as the Droid 2 - $0.01 - on a new two-year contract.

HTC EVO 4G, our favorite 4.3 incher from Sprint, has revolutionized the mobile industry back in June. However, due to high demand and low stock, it was extremely hard to get at first, and when it did show up in stock, we were still looking at a $199 price tag. Sure, a $10 or $20 discount popped up here and there but no significant deals ever surfaced. Until now.

Amazon.com is offering a brand new EVO 4G for $99.99 to new customers signing up for a 2-year contract.

The sad part about being a mobile customer, at least in the US, is that you almost never get the same perks when upgrading your phone with your current carrier, compared to switching to a new one. For example, if you're an existing T-Mobile customer, you will need to shell out $200 if you upgrade with T-Mobile, Amazon, or even Wirefly.

Thankfully, we were just tipped off about a deal in Costco that offers the G2 for $99.99 to both new and existing customers renewing their contracts as well as those adding a new line.

One lucky Dutch guy (xda member Clock1932) has swept aside any considerations of failed Google "Type Approval" testing and has gotten his paws on what many are calling "the EVO for Europe." Not so fast: while it may lack a kickstand, a 4G radio, and a front facing camera, its new Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8255 CPU appears to be quite a step up when it comes to benchmarks.

Much has been made of the  T-Mobile G2's current rooting situation - in case you've been living under a rock for the past few months, it's currently rootable, albeit not permanently just yet.
