[Update: €349 in rest of Europe] Google drops Pixel C price significantly in the UK, now just £299

The Pixel C tablet is something of a forgotten product. That has a lot to do with where Android tablets are right now: the category is all but dead by this point. The space has been taken over by cheap Chromebooks, many of which can now run Android apps and operate in tablet mode.

Weekend poll: At what point does an app cost too much?

I've noticed that there are two kinds of people, generally speaking, when it comes to app purchases. Those that consider a couple bucks towards a new app no big deal, and those that wait until the last minute, if ever, to drop a few dollars on a "Pro" version or IAP for a full app. Personally, I jump at the chance to disable ads, add additional features, and support independent developers. But, even I can acknowledge that it depends on how much an app costs.

Spending a quick buck on a new app is no big deal, but I've got a psychological barrier somewhere around $3 where an impulse purchase suddenly becomes worth deliberating.

Play Games v5.3 comes with a whole new look and three new mini-games [APK Download]

Updates to the Play Games app aren't as free flowing as they are for many of Google's other apps, but they often do bring pretty big changes or additions. The latest version bump gives Play Games a huge visual makeover that looks cleaner and puts installed games front and center. There are also three included mini-games to play if you get bored and don't have something else installed yet.

[Update: Not shipping until December] Misfit's unreleased Vapor Android Wear smartwatch appears on Amazon for only $151 ($48 off)

According to a new Amazon listing, it looks like Misfit's Vapor Android Wear smartwatch might actually exist soon. Even better, you can buy one now over at Amazon in both Black and Gold/Pink for just a bit over $151. It's "temporarily out of stock," but you can place an order.

The Vapor is supposed to cost $200 when it launches later this October, so we aren't sure if this is a mistake with the listing or an actual reduction in price. Either way, I'd recommend acting very fast if you're interested.

Sony has offered a PlayStation app for Android since 2012, allowing console owners to manage their friends list and view achievements on the go. While the mobile app did closely mirror the PlayStation's interface, it didn't fit in well with the rest of Android (or iOS). An update for the PlayStation app is now available, with a brand new UI.

'Viki' is the sixth video streaming service supported by Google Home

Nearly a year ago, Google added the ability to play content from partner services through your Google Home. For example, you could say "Play The Office on Netflix," and your Home would cast the show to the Chromecast/Cast-compatible TV of your choosing. At launch, only Google Photos and Netflix were supported, but the list of compatible services has been slowly growing.

Google will remove Play Store apps that use Accessibility Services for anything except helping disabled users

For years, Android has allowed apps to modify the behavior of other applications, using Accessibility Services. While the intended purpose is for developers to create apps for users with disabilities, the API is often used for other functionality (to overlay content, fill in text fields, etc.). LastPass, Button Mapper, Signal SpyTasker, and Greenify are just a few examples of applications heavily using this API.
