A couple of weeks ago, I ran into a new game by Art in Games called AirAttack HD Lite, which was a free preview version of a top-down plane shooter, but with only 2 levels. The game was polished so well that I finished the 2 levels in a heartbeat and was left longing for more. In fact, if you remember, I called AirAttack HD "not your dream game, but the one after that."

Today, the full version is available.

lumbergh works for att

Update: In response to a Better Business Bureau complaint against AT&T for capping upload speeds, the wireless carrier has acknowledged that HSUPA is not currently available and insists that customers "will continue to have a world class experience" (obviously dismissing the fact that some customers' experiences are far from world class).

AT&T points out that the speeds were not "capped," but are simply not HSUPA-capable. While this does accurately reflect that the carrier was not intentionally throttling data speeds, it seems to only distract from the fact that, on the customer's end, the result is the same.

If you, like me, are constantly checking what's going on in the world of technology, science, world news, entertainment, gaming, music, and a million other things - on top of social networks like Facebook and Twitter, have I got an app for you. Picture, if you will, an Android app that will aggregate all of these news feeds and your social media streams into a cohesive and, quite frankly, sexy interface.

DI.FM fans, in an announcement on Facebook, your favorite radio station just dropped its Android app (previously available as only an off-Market beta) in the Android Market. Being one of such fans - Digitally Imported Premium is one of the few services I pay for monthly - I can tell you that the app is superb - it's clean, well designed, functional, and not over-bloated with features nobody needs.

Besides the obvious music streaming from all of DI's 37 channels, the app offers an ability to set favorite stations, stream using different bitrates when on Wi-Fi or cellular networks, and an ability to log into Premium to experience higher quality music without commercials.

Take it as you wish, but a flyer that (according to Droid Life) was passed out by Samsung representatives at a technology fair today clearly shows that a Wifi-only version of the original 7" Galaxy Tab is set to hit store shelves on April 4 at $399.

If this turns out to be legit, it may be viewed as a mixed bag by Android users. On the one hand, it's a quality tablet from a major manufacturer offered for $100 less than the iPad, but on the other hand, this isn't November and the original Tab's specs are easily dwarfed by the current generation of Tegra 2 slates that are becoming available.

san andreas on xoom

Those of you Android users who were hoping that you would get some Playstation love without having to buy the upcoming Xperia Play (dubbed the Playstation Phone by some) just got some good news. The Playstation Suite, Sony's framework that will integrate much of their gaming experience into Android, will be available for Tegra 2 devices later this year.

It was revealed in NVIDIA's Tegra Zone app that original Playstation games Wild Arms, Cool Boarders 2, and Syphon Filter will be among those available.

flash party

Last night we told you about the update to the Motorola XOOM that has been rolling out which gives the tablet the promised capability to use Flash. Capability is the key word there, because XOOM owners still won't be able to experience Flash on their tabs until the final piece of the puzzle (Adobe's 10.2 Flash update) arrives. We now know when that will be, as Adobe has announced via their blog that it will be released next Friday, March 18.

ric flair hacks ios and bb

With all of the recent concern about malware in the Android Market, it may lead one to make the generalization that the Android OS is nothing but a big loser in the mobile security department. It looks like that may be a faulty conclusion, if the results from hacking competition Pwn2Own are any indication. In this year's contest, held at the CanSecWest Security Conference, Android and Windows Phone 7 both survived unscathed, while iOS and Blackberry fell to the hackers.

samsung's real 8-9 tab

If you saw our post the other day about Samsung's teaser image for their rumored 8.9" Galaxy Tab (expected to be announced at CTIA later this month), you may have seen what appeared to be an extremely thin tablet. At a casual glance, it looks svelte enough to give the .34" thick iPad 2 a run for its money in its lack of girth. Then a diligent tipster shared his homework with us and, well, it looks like Samsung has been using some Photoshop lighting effects to create a bit of an illusion.

If you haven't checked the Android Market for updates recently, you may not have noticed that Angry Birds Seasons updated to incorporate St. Patrick's Day into its pig-smashing holiday repertoire.  Now you'll have something for your non-beer-holding hand to do while you pound those green brews (or green McDonald's milk shakes, for you youngins) during everyone's favorite celebration of superfluous, oddly-colored beer imbibition. They've re-done all the characters and levels in the usual Seasons fashion, and, honestly, this is one of my personal favorites:

You can grab it right now from the Android Market:

As a rule, I don't condone drunken bird-throwing but, because it's a holiday, I may just make an exception.
