LG Optimus Vu Reportedly Coming To Verizon As The 'Intuition' - New Name, Same Ridiculous Proportions

We've known for a while that Verizon is slated to get its own variant of the massive LG Vu, but it seems the "Vu" name just isn't good enough for Big Red. According to a new leak that landed in the hands of Droid Life, the Vu for Verizon is slated to be named the... wait for it... LG Intuition.

While we don't know exactly when it will be available, the Vu Intuition should be available for $199 with a two-year agreement ($549 off contract).  Looks like this is as close as we're getting to a phablet on Verizon; unless, of course, the rumored 5" HTC monster becomes a reality.

[Quick Review] FIXIE Tablet Stand By Incipio: An Elegant, Minimal, And Modern Stand For Your Mobile Device

As a tech writer, I have lots of gadgets. Smartphones, tablets, and all sorts of other fun stuff. Because of this, new accessories aren't something that I'm often super-impressed with. Every once in a while, though, a new product lands in my hands that really is more than I expected. Thus is the case with the FIXIE tablet stand from Incipio ($40).

I know what you're thinking: "wait, you were impressed with...

Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G Touch Receives Minor OTA Update To Build FH13

The phone with the name everyone loves to hate – Sprint's Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch – began receiving a minor (and I mean minor) software update over the air today.

The OTA, which carries software build D710.10S.FH13 (for reference compare to the E4GT's Ice Cream Sandwich build D710.10.S.FF18), brings just one thing to the table: battery life enhancement.

Just how enhanced users should expect their battery life to be is unclear as yet, but being able to squeeze just a bit more life out of your handset is never a bad thing.

Flickr Gets A Big Update To 1.5 - UI Tweaks, HTML Support, And Multiple Camera Selection

Flickr is something of a dinosaur in the rocket-paced world of online photo services, but pros and amateurs alike have stuck to it in the millions. Sadly the Android app hasn't always kept pace with the many options provided on Yahoo's web service. The gap between app and web grows a little smaller today as Flickr 1.5 hits the Play Store, keeping its freemium service but adding a visual overhaul and a handful of new features.

ARCHOS Announces The 101 XS Tablet With Magnetic 'Coverboard' Keyboard Case For $400

Way back in March of '12, we heard that ARCHOS would be releasing a new line of thin, keyboard-packing tablets. The first of those rumored devices has now emerged as the 101 XS, and it actually looks pretty neat.

The device itself is a fairly typical 10" tablet: 1.5GHz dual-core OMAP 4470, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, Android 4.0 (4.1 OTA update is expected to roll out in "Q4 2012"). What makes this device unique(ish), however, is its magnetic keyboard dock, which ARCHOS has named the Coverboard.

[Review] Spirits Is A Delightful Puzzle Game That Makes Me Dream Of Haikus And Autumn

Light and floating wisps
Tranquil music serenades

This game features a series of ethereal spirit beings (see where they got the name?) that steadily stream out of the entrance to a level. Your job is to transform some of the aural manifestations into clouds, vines, and all manner of natural tools to lead the remaining wisps to the exit of the level.

HTC One V Coming To Cricket Wireless On September 2nd - No Price Tag Yet

The junior member of HTC's One family has yet to see great adoption in the United States, with US Cellular and Virgin being the only carriers of note to offer the HTC One V. Fellow budget carrier Cricket Wireless is finally getting their own version of the Android handset, and will be releasing it to its contract-free customers on Sunday, September 2nd. Cricket has yet to announce a price for the phone, but given its competitors' prices, I'd guess that somewhere between $100 and $200 is likely.
