They say that a smartphone is only as good as its accessories, and if that's the case, then the Bionic must be among the best. (Okay, they don't really say that, but everyone loves extra stuff for their phone.)

We've taken a look at what Moto has to offer in way of extras for its new flagship, and decided to put together a list for those who may be new to Motorola devices, or perhaps Android in general.

At Google I/O this year, the newest version of Android was officially announced. Codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich, it aims to bring Honeycomb features to phones, Gingerbread features to tablets, and everything in between. The official announcement left us without a firm release date -- only that it would be released in Q4 of this year.

At the Dreamforce conference in San Francisco today, though, Eric Schmidt let a bit more info slip:

We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October/November, which everyone’s really excited about.

Yesterday we saw a video of an HP TouchPad with full multitouch capabilities, and today Team CyanogenMod dropped a video not only showing off multitouch (which was apparently their work in the first place, but we'll stay out of that drama for now), but accurate color reproduction and full GPU acceleration as well.

ohai, creepy doll!

The rate of progress being made on the TouchPad is truly astounding. It won't be long now before we have a fully working version for all of you who took advantage of the firesale.

Everyone has played the original Space Invaders at one point or another -- scrolling back and forth, trying to eliminate each and every menacing insect-like alien floating above you. Imagine that, now add in steroids and speed, and the end result would be something similar to Space Invaders Infinity Gene. Just take a look at the gameplay trailer:

The biggest feature in Infinity Genre is its "the more you play, the more it evolves" styling, so it's an always-changing environment.

While Verizon just announced the most powerful device to hit its 4G LTE network to date, AT&T decided to keep the announcements a bit more budget-friendly by dropping the news about the Huawei Impulse 4G, a phone geared towards feature phone users that are looking to jump into the smartphone ring.

The Impulse is a mid-ranger with a 3.8 inch touchscreen, a 5MP rear shooter, and Android 2.2 all running on AT&T's HSPA+ network -- not a powerhouse by any means, but you can't really expect much more from a $30 device.

Businesses across the globe turn to Citrix products for their remote access needs every day, and now the company has brought its popular GoToMeeting software to Android devices. GoToMeeting allows you to join meetings and conferences from basically anywhere there is a connection, be it 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi.

You can easily join meetings with a single tap, view presentations and reports, pinch-to-zoon content, see attendance lists, and interact with the presenters through the mic and speakers on your device, though a headset is recommended.

Remember our Out of Milk giveaway? Come on, it was like, a few days ago. If you don't, we gave away 25 copies of the Pro version of this absolutely fantastic shopping and pantry organization app to the comments here and on Google+ that we enjoyed the most. Here they are.

From "Klaus with a "K"" in the post comments:

“Honey? We're out of milk. – again!”

When milk is what you need
and shopping warnings were not heed
Then You, my friend, are out of luck
and in the doghouse surely stuck

You need to shop with care
and plan your trip with flair

Can’t decipher illegible doodles
will end you up buying noodles

Don’t bring home salami
knowing everyone eats pastrami

And when all that’s needed is a bit of oats
you better not come rolling home with goats

No listed item should be carelessly omitted
or for sure you will be deemed nit-witted.

Yep, you read that right - we're giving away a DROID BIONIC, and it's not even out yet (well, it will be in less than 24 hours), courtesy of the awesome folks over at Stack Exchange. Why? Because we want to help supercharge Stack's amazing Android Q&A site, Android Stack Exchange.

Android Stack Exchange, a child of the StackOverflow family of sites, is sort of like a dedicated Android Q&A Reddit + Wiki + FAQ for answering all your questions about everything Android.

A few weeks ago, we covered an incredible new camera app called Paper Camera. It's unique in nature because it offers amazing real-time effects (as opposed to post-processed effects, like most other third-party camera apps), like cartoon, sketch, comic book, old printer, neon, bleaching, half-time, noir, newspaper, and more.

The app is normally a couple of bucks in the Android Market, but for this week, GetJar is offering the full version absolutely free of charge.
