No one can keep the Prince of Persia down. The franchise has been around for over two decades, and the original entry was one of gaming's most influential releases. Now the Prince is back on Android in Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame, and this title picks up right where Prince of Persia Classic left off.
This is a full-blown 2.5D platformer with fourteen fully-rendered levels set around five different environments. Read More
Most of you are probably familiar with NVIDIA's Tegra line of system-on-a-chip boards - Tegra 2 was behind most of the first wave of Honeycomb tablets, Tegra 3 powered the Transformer Prime and Nexus 7, and there's this little thing called SHIELD with Tegra 4 coming next week. But their latest promotional efforts take the spotlight off of a fully integrated solution to focus on NVIDIA's bread and butter: the GPU. Read More
A lot of little things got the axe in Google's latest redesign of the Play Store website. Most don't seem to be coming back (oh how we miss you, 30-day download chart!) but one of the most useful ones for browsing has been resurrected. You can now narrow search for apps based on their free or paid status: just click the drop-down menu next to "Android Apps," which is set to "All prices" by default. Read More
The new Nexus 7, which has already been fully revealed and benchmarked earlier today, just popped up on BestBuy.com for pre-order in both 16 and 32 GB capacities. As expected, the refreshed 2013 N7 runs:

Google jumped the gun just a little bit and shipped tomorrow's version of Google Music today, which means we've got about 12 hours to spoil even more of the surprises Google has in store for us at their "Breakfast with Sundar Pichai" event. Let's get to it.
Music ships with all sorts of support for something called "Chromecast." It's basically Google's version of Airplay. Check this out:
<string name="error_start_session_failed">Unable to start a session with the Chromecast device.</string>
<string name="error_session_ended">Lost connectivity with the Chromecast device.</string>
<string name="error_ramp_command_failed">Failed to control the media.</string>
<string name="error_no_session">Not currently connected to the Chromecast device.</string>
Connect to a remote device, and start playing media! Read More
Google is set to (probably) announce the new and improved Nexus 7 tomorrow, but we've been taking a look at the device ahead of time. Some of the specs from previous rumors were dead on, and some not so much. We've got all the details and benchmarks right here. So let's dive in. Read More
The new Nexus 7 is no secret. It's been leaked, leaked, and leaked again. But up until today, we hadn't seen the actual device in the flesh. One lucky soul was able to get his hands on a retail version of the new N7 and has provided us with essentially every angle, pose, nook, and cranny of the device – he even offered up a couple of pictures of the box. Google announced in May that they were going to remove Argentina from the list of regions supporting paid apps in the Google Play Store, but they then issued a temporary reversal in June. Now Google has come up with a permanent solution for those who rely on app sales as a source of revenue. Argentinian developers can continue to offer paid apps on Google Play by receiving wire transfer payments through Google Wallet. Read More
Motorola and Verizon unveiled the newest members of the DROID family today, and I had some time to play with these freshly-minted Kevlar constructions. My initial conclusion? These phones are all really, really alike.
In fact, it is easier to talk about the ways they are different than the ways they are the same. The Ultra is slimmest of the three (it's also the only not packing Qi wireless charging, because it would make the phone thicker). Read More
