OnLive officially launched an innovative cloud-based gaming service at the Eurogamer Expo in London yesterday, making on-demand gameplay available to users throughout the UK.

The new service supports a vast array of devices including HDTVs, PCs, Macs, and (soon) Android and iPad tablets connected to "almost any" broadband connection.

As a special promotion of the service, BT, one of the UK's most popular broadband providers, is offering its customers three months of free access.

Until  recently, Amazon's Appstore for Android has been the only game in town when it comes to (legally) obtaining paid apps for free. Getjar has changed that, however, by beginning the Getjar Gold Program which offers an entire catalogue of paid apps absolutely free and without ads. It would seem that Getjar's new program is a huge success, at least in the case of one development company.

Mobisoft, developers of Imperio RDP remote desktop client, released a press statement recently reporting on the company's experience thus far with Getjar Gold, boasting "three times the revenue" in its first week as part of the program over revenue generated by the Android Market.

Some users are reporting a +0.0.2 update to the Android Market. So far we don't know if anything big has changed. The tiny version increment suggest bug fixes only, but you never know...

Anyway, because we love you, we've mirrored the APK here for you to try out. Check your version first though, you may have already updated! We'll update this post if we spot anything new, and you let us know if you spot anything new.

The carriers continue screwing us in lockstep. Sprint is once again making its service less appealing (and more in line with the rest of the quadopoly) by putting a 5GB cap on its Mobile Hotspot plans. As always with capped data, overage fees are now here to keep you up at night. Going over the 5GB cap will tack 5¢ per MB onto your bill, which means the homepage of AP is going to cost you around $0.30.

At the beginning of the month, HTC announced that it would be bringing Gingerbread to the Droid Incredible and ThunderBolt. While that promised has been fulfilled for the former, there's been nary a word of the status of the update for the latter. Until now.

Thanks to our anonymous tipster known only as Pig Benis, we have an official Gingerbread RUU hot of the presses for the HTC ThunderBolt.

Our tipster isn't positive if this is the final build or not, but considering it's so close to the end of the month, it is very likely.

Looks like the just-released Samsung Epic 4G Touch is dealing with a few new-device hiccups. Both issues are relatively minor, but are noticeable (and annoying) nonetheless.

For starters, the calendar app may (or may not) force close when multiple events are dismissed at the same time. Secondly, if you're using 4G hotspot and take a phone call, it will kill the 4G connection. Of course, you can easily just re-enable the service at the end of the phone conversation, so it's only a minor inconvenience.

While Samsung may have promptly released the kernel source code for Sprint's Epic 4G Touch on release day, it has gone one step further with AT&T's variant and already uploaded the code to its Open Source Release Center. AT&T just announced the launch date of October 2nd this morning, so this makes the code available nearly two weeks before the phone.
