We've been hearing rumors about Sprint's version of the HTC One X for a few weeks now, and the pair just took the wraps off the device. Simply known as the HTC EVO 4G LTE (okay, so I was off by one letter and a number on the name speculation, whatever), this will likely be Sprint's flagship device at the time of launch, and will be one of the premier devices on its LTE network.

While the LG Lucid may have hit Verizon stores with an incredibly low price-to-hardware ratio, the good folks over at AmazonWireless took that to a whole new level: free. Okay, well, one cent (close enough). Normally, we tell users to avoid budget devices like the plague, but the Lucid is the exception to the rule. Why? Because while its price (or lack thereof in this case) may be budget, its hardware is anything but:

  • 4-inch IPS display with Gorilla Glass
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB built-in storage, microSD card slot
  • 5MP rear shooter, VGA front facing camera
  • Android 2.3 (will get Ice Cream Sandwich)

We've been hearing about an upcoming LG device for Verizon's LTE network called the Cayman for a few weeks now; that device is now officially official, and it's bearing the moniker Lucid.

At $80 with a two-year agreement, the Lucid will hit a sweet spot in many users' wallets; just because it's affordable, however, doesn't mean it's lacking in the feature department:

  • 4-inch display with Gorilla Glass
  • 1.2GHz dual-core processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5MP rear shooter
  • Front facing camera
  • Android 2.3, upgradable to Android 4.0

As you can see, it's packing specs comparable to top-of-the-line phones from just a couple of months ago, but at less than half the introductory price.

In late February, we reported on a rumored HTC device very similar to the ONE X potentially heading to Sprint called the Jewel. New information about this device has now surfaced thanks to the crew over at S4GRU, but it turns out that it may not be codenamed Jewel after all - internally, it's being called the Jet.

The Jet is said to be identical to the One X in every way, except it's packing CDMA1X/EV-DO/LTE radios instead of the GSM/LTE radios of its AT&T counterpart.

We got a look at the Excite 10 LE's at CES when it was called the Excite X10. Now, Toshiba is bringing the thinnest and lightest tablet* to the US market. The Excite 10 LE is identical to the Excite X10 aside from a couple of letters being rearranged. The slate still packs a "multicore" OMAP processor under a 10.1" LED screen. Unfortunately, the device will be launching with Honeycomb (3.2), but is "upgradeable to Android 4.0."

We've been hearing hints and rumors about HTC's plans for MWC for some time, but now we have finally gotten to see how they have re-invented. Enter the One series, a collection of three devices - the One X, One S, and One V.

All three are utilizing the redesigned Sense 4 over Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition to a host of new visual changes, Sense 4 includes new picture taking software called "ImageSense" that, in conjunction with new camera hardware, promises better pictures than any other phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note (and its unheard of size) has been a hot topic since its AT&T release this past week, and we have seen quite a few conflicting opinions on the practicality of the device over the last few days. Many say that the gigantic screen prevents users from carrying it around comfortably, while others claim that it doesn't feel much different than any other phone. I've had the pleasure of using the Note for the past week, and I must say that I am incredibly impressed.

Those still waiting for a hot deal on Samsung's gargantuan Galaxy Note are in luck – AT&T is offering the Note at 50% off for new or add-a-line customers if you click through a special link that enables the discount.

To take advantage of the deal, customers need only to head over to AT&T's site, choose the Samsung Galaxy Note for a new or add-a-line contract (it'll show the full price at this point - just keep on trucking), and continue with checkout.

It looks like those still anxious to get their hands on Samsung's new phablet – The Galaxy Note – are in luck - Amazon Wireless is offering the Note for just $249.99 when customers upgrade or agree to a new 2 year contract. That's about $50 less than AT&T's price.

Even better, Amazon Wireless is giving customers the option of a white or black version of the Note (though the color selections are officially known as ceramic and carbon).
