Have you heard of the inPulse Smartwatch? If not, you should probably check it out. It's a nifty little gadget that can connect to your Android (or Blackberry, but who uses those?) via Bluetooth, and show you text messages, email, calendar appointments, caller ID info, and more - all on your wrist.

That's not all though - this thing has its own apps, too (and some pretty rad options, might I add).

After winning multiple preliminary injunctions against Samsung's Galaxy Tab family (including the 10.1, 8.9, and 7.7) in Germany in the recent past, Apple is looking to add one more device to the list: Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1N.

For those who don't know, the Galaxy Tab 10.1N is exactly the same as the original 10.1, except that it has a new form factor, adding a silver bezel and repositioning the tab's speaker grills.

Last Updated: January 17th, 2012

Lately, we've talked a lot about Carrier IQ, the "service" that hides itself in the background of an unknown number of Android devices, harvesting information and sending it back to carriers. While it's still unclear how deep the rabbit hole actually goes, the dev who discovered it, TrevE, is still digging in search of the answer. His latest findings may shine a bit of light on the subject, and I can promise you one thing: it's not pretty.

Just two short weeks after the Kindle Fire received its first dose of Android development goodness (read: root), the first full custom ROM has made its way to the device. The ROM is question is, of course, CyanogenMod 7, the most widely distributed custom ROM among Android devices.

Basically everything works, though there are a few glitches. The touchscreen was initially on the receiving end of one said glitch, as the alignment was off by 90 degrees.

Google-Maps

Google Maps just got a huge update. We're now up to 6.0, and tackling the final frontier of mapping. Google is no longer content to just drop you off at the door. Maps will now include *indoor* mapping and positioning in stores, malls, and airports. Wow.

Check out this before and after shot of the Mall of America:

How cool is that? You can now see where everything is located, and switch between floors.

Looks like HTC jumped a new member into the unlockable bootloader gang this morning: the EVO Design 4G. The Design now joins the ranks of the Sensation, EVO 3D, and Flyer in the realm of unlocked bootloader-dom, along with another recent newcomer to the scene, the Amaze 4G on T-Mobile.

As always, the process will void your warranty, but if an unlocked bootloader is what you're after, then this is the place to get it done.

Today has been a great day for those looking to get their hands on Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1. Earlier, we saw the 10.1 on sale from Daily Steals at $340 with free shipping, and now Woot is offering a refurbished 16GB 10.1 for just $319.99 with $5 shipping. If you're worried about the Tab's "refurbished" status, don't fret – this usually just means you'll receive a unit that was purchased and returned, possibly even unopened.

If you're a Total SMS Control user, you may be interested in the latest findings of our good buddy Justin Case. He uncovered some rather alarming info within the app, and by alarming, I mean a crapload of exposed data, including SMS messages, emails, call logs, phone numbers, contact information, and GPS location. Yeah.

For the uninitiated, Total SMS Control is an app used to "spy" on other mobile phones. For example, if you install TSC on your child's (or spouse, employee, etc.) phone, it will sit silently in the background collecting emails, text messages, GPS location, and more.
