Kemco Games, the team behind a slew of popular role-playing games for Android, has introduced the English version of Aeon Avenger today, bringing to market an impressively polished time-travelling RPG. Like Kemco's other RPGs, Aeon Avenger features gameplay reminiscent of old Final Fantasy adventures, and delivers a "story of revenge through time and space."

Aeon's story follows a young man named Lake, whose rural home town is attacked by "the man in black," who also murdered Lake's parents.

We've all been there: listening to the radio, hoping the next track is something good. Or perhaps there's a specific track you want to hear, so you listen to the crappy local station for half of the day waiting for the audio goodness that you so desperately crave to grace your ear canal. Thanks to a new app called Jelli, you may never have to deal with what some deejay wants you to hear again.

It's a known fact that people of all ages love to blow things up with undersized tanks. It's satisfying, destructive, and cute all at the same time - three things that the human heart needs to survive. As such, there are a few games in the Play Store that satisfy this basic human need with tiny-tank gameplay; one such game being Tank Hero: Laser Wars.

TH:LW is the sequel to the popular blow-em-up title Tank Hero, but this go around it incorporates an all new graphics engines that looks absolutely beastly compared to its predecessor:

The game also features two new worlds filled with interactive environments, power-ups, and speed boosts; boss battles, a new achievement system, and four difficulty levels.

There's no shortage of camera apps in Google's Play Store, but every once in a while a new one hits that really wows us. We'd heard whispers that the Galaxy S II might be getting an update to Android 4.0 on March 10th. After the announcement was immediately yanked from Samsung's site, we were skeptical. It turns out those suspicions were confirmed tonight via Samsung's official Twitter account. The date was errantly posted by Samsung's Filipino arm.

While the SGSII may not be receiving its update tomorrow, this does at least let us know that Samsung is working on it.

A couple of weeks ago, we took a look at Nova, a new launcher for Ice Cream Sandwich devices that brings some nice features over the stock offering. Another new launcher designed for Android 4.0, dubbed Apex, landed in the Store this morning and it, too, is pretty incredible. I spent some time playing around with it earlier today; here is a quick look at what Apex has to offer.

Looking to make online shopping just a little more organized and manageable, Slice came to Google's Play Store today. The app promises to be "the simplest way to track and organize your purchases," and seems to deliver on that promise, efficiently and effectively finding, organizing, and storing receipts and tracking info on your Android device.

Slice automatically works with your Gmail or Yahoo Mail account, scanning for purchase receipts and tracking info, and organizes everything into a clean, easy-to-use interface.

After a bunch of clever Russian programmers started creating their own Portal for Android last month using the Unity 3D engine and Valve's assets, the news got picked up and spread through the Internet like wildfire. It all seemed too good to be true, but the initial demo was playable, and as I was monitoring the development thread, I saw how quickly progress was being made. The developers were literally recreating the Portal world at a phenomenal pace, and things were looking up.
