Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will never be the same. It can't be. Fallon has moved on to replace Jay Leno on the Tonight Show, and tonight's his first day on the job. If the final episode of Late Night wasn't enough to hype you up for the big event, NBC has now released a dedicated app into the Play Store. And with it, you can start to enjoy Fallon in the daytime, too.
Would you spend $400 on a portable Bluetooth speaker? That's the question Jabra's hoping to answer with its new flagship product, the Solemate Max. If you can believe it, Jabra does make a somewhat compelling case at times. The Max falls into the larger end of the portable speaker spectrum, competing with current market favorites like the Logitech Boombox and the Jambox Big, perhaps even the Bose SoundLink III. Compared to those speakers, though, the Max's $400 MSRP is almost stratospheric.
Update: @evleaks may not have been the first one to get pictures of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 out, but better late than never (if you could even really call this late). Here he is with an image that looks to confirm what @gadgetleaks has shared.
Earlier today @evleaks shared information on Sony's upcoming Xperia Tablet Z2. If his intel is accurate, the sequel to last year's tablet will come with a 10.1" 1920x1200 display, a Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 6000mAh battery, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, and KitKat.
It may seem at first that Colossus Escape is an endless runner, but that's not entirely accurate – it's broken up into levels. Not that you don't have a reason to run pretty much forever... Colossus is a very angry looking god-like being and he's right behind you. You have to keep running and picking up potions to avoid being eaten, which is bad news for everyone but Colossus.
The Neo is a more affordable version of the Galaxy Note 3 that comes with a few compromises, most notably regarding its screen and camera. Samsung officially announced the handset at the end of last month and eventually revealed that it would not come to the US or the UK, but it would still be available in many other markets across the globe. The Neo hasn't launched yet, but Samsung has now made the device's kernel source files available to all.
Samsung's HomeSync took a while to hit store shelves, and it isn't exactly the type of product people needed to hold their breath for. It primarily allows users to stream content from their Samsung Galaxy devices to their televisions, but it can also store music and games on its internal hard drive. It's cool, but there are already numerous ways of doing this, and judging from Amazon consumer reviews, this may not be one of the better ones.
A new report from SamMobile claims to confirm that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will indeed have a fingerprint sensor. Not only that, the leaked information has a lot to say about how the feature will work. According to SamMobile, the sensor is going to be integrated with the home button, and yes, that means there will still be physical buttons on the Galaxy S5.
Unlike Apple's Touch ID scanner, Samsung's version will require you to swipe your finger across the home button while keeping it flat.
Do you have what it takes to be the king of 1930's Chicago? Probably not. This is a world filled to the brim with gambling, drive-by shootings, and political corruption. Okay, the pixelated visuals found in this old Amiga classic might be all that really separates this experience from the modern-day city, so if you know these streets or have the stones to step back in time and prove your mettle, a port of the King of Chicago is now available on Google Play.
A lot of things happened recently: Valentine's Day, NBA All-Star Weekend, and today is Presidents' Day. You can go ahead and pick one of those now as the reason for this giveaway, because we don't actually have one. Maybe your V-Day was crappy, so a free tablet will cheer you up. Maybe you're bummed because [spoiler alert] the West lost, so you need a pick me up. Maybe you're not from America and couldn't care less about Presidents' Day – it's a holiday here, and we'll give you a free tablet because of that.
Developers are really into Roman Nurik's new live wallpaper app, Muzei. A ton of extensions are already available in Google Play, some of which have neat tricks up their sleeves (see part 1 here). Here's the best stuff we've found so far in no particular order.
