We've known that Samsung planned on pushing its Touchwiz UX custom interface to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for some time now, and it appears that that time is almost upon us. According to Sammy's official Tab 10.1 page, we can expect to see this update "soon," along with a few other goodies thrown into the mix.

Touchwiz UX looks to bring some incredibly useful features to Honeycomb, like a notification area power widget and an awesome mini-app tray.

Well, isn't this interesting... it appears that Android Central has gotten a hold of a leaked screen with some pretty promising release dates for some highly anticipated phones, including the Motorola Droid Bionic. Let's push that one of to the side for just a moment though and address the first phone on the list: the Droid 3.

We've basically known everything there is to know about the D3 for a while.

When the news broke that the Digital Pen would be sold independently of the HTC Flyer, it wasn't well received. While this is one of the more unique features of the Flyer, its lack of comparable hardware to other Android-powered tablets, along with the $500 price tag plus another $80 for the stylus, was just asking a bit much.

However, you can now stroll into Best Buy and pick up the Flyer and the Digital Pen for a combined price of $500.

Although the Market listing claims that this app will work on Android 2.1+, that doesn't seem to be the case, as I couldn't install it on my phone at all - only my Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The Toshiba Thrive showed up on our radars back at CES, though back then it was still known as "the nameless Toshiba tablet". The 10.1" tablet took pre-orders in June, and looked towards mid-July for a shipping date.

Well, it looks like those reports were on the money, as an anonymous Engadget source is reporting that Best Buys around the country will be selling Thrives as early as July 10.

This week, Google revealed its most serious attempt at social networking yet, Google+. Despite being released just a few days ago, it's easy to see that it's a much more accessible, polished attempt than Google's previous attempts, namely Google Wave and Google Buzz. It brings a familiar interface, but clearly bears the Google mark: clean, minimal, but with some well thought-out improvements.

CoPilot, a popular navigation and mapping company, released Live USA Standard and Premium v9 offline navigation apps to the Android Market on Monday, June 27th. While most people immediately think and resort to using Google Maps, CoPilot apps could come in quite handy for those without data plans (such as phones disconnected from service or Wi-Fi only) or in areas of poor data reception (I felt the need for something like this just this past weekend on a trip to a remote lake).

It's always nice to see popular, formerly iOS-exclusive games make their way to Android, a platform which, despite recent improvements, still needs all the help it can get where games are concerned. Therefore, we were delighted when Big Blue Bubble, a critically acclaimed iPhone developer, released its first Android game: Burn the Rope.

Update 7/2/11: Big Blue Bubble released Burn The Rope+, which is an ad-free version of the game for those who don't like the extra permissions in the original game that are required for in-app purchases.
