Last week, HTC released a detailed timeline of when ICS updates to various devices are expected to roll out. Hitting almost dead-center in the middle of its projected update window, users in various parts of Europe with unlocked Sensation XLs are now receiving the update. According to user reports, customers of UK's Three network are also receiving the update. Unfortunately, there's no word when other carriers will begin pushing the update.

Google I/O is coming and it's time to get excited! It's like Christmas in June! It will be here in just a few short agonizing weeks - and we need to prepare. There is background information you need to know, rumors you should have in mind, and past announcements and acquisitions that need to be remembered. Google always leaves little news breadcrumbs for those that pay attention, and I pay attention.

Samsung this morning announced that the Galaxy S III is now available in 28 different countries. Except, it's not. Well, not according to the chatter we're seeing on Twitter and other places around the web. Many retailers are claiming that  they don't have inventory yet, but hopefully they'll get it soon.

There's also a "shortage" of Pebble Blue units, according to Samsung. Apparently, the "newly invented blue color and special hyperglaze material" is having some issues that causes a the unit to look splotchy beneath the surface.

When using a tablet for things like playing games, browsing the web, or other general activities, I really like using a stylus. While I have several different styli, there is one thing that consistently bothers me about all of them: the tip size is just too big. I understand that it's made to emulate a fingertip, but I think a smaller tip would lead to more precision, especially when browsing sites that aren't necessarily touch-optimized, or for things like natural-writing, as well as any sort of digital art.

It's amazing what a new look can do for a platform, isn't it? Back in January, we reported that CyanogenMod, the most popular third-party Android ROM, reached one million unique installs. Now, a little more than four months later, that number has doubled, according to CM's stat tracker. This is huge.

For those who are curious as to how the stat counter works, here's a more detailed explanation.

If controlling your Panasonic LUMIX FX90 digital camera from your smartphone is something that you've longed for, today is your lucky day. Panasonic just released LUMIX Remote into the Play Store - an app to let you do just that.

The app connects to the FX90 over a Wi-Fi connection, and allows you to remote view the image on your camera's screen, remote shutter and zoom, and includes a self-shot mode for taking Facebook pics self-portraits.

In typical ASUS fashion, the Taiwanese company has released a teaser video for its upcoming showcase at CompuTex 2012 in Taipei, Taiwan. As usual, the video is about as vague as it gets, only making a brief reference to the cloud and the "next transformations," suggesting that we'll a see a "new" entry into the Transformer line.

Update: As one of the comments points out, the tags indicated that this may actually be a Windows 8 Transformer:

However, I wouldn't get my hopes up for an entirely new device - I'd be willing to wager a large sum that this will just be the official unveiling of the Transformer Pad Infinity, the big brother to the Transformer Prime that features a 1920x1200 display.

This is the latest in our Weekend Poll series. For last week's, see Voice Control Apps: Future Or Fad?

A few days ago, David argued that Google's now-approved purchase of Motorola will change the Android game. Hell, that much should really be pretty obvious - they now have access to virtually every piece of the smartphone puzzle in their hands. At first thought, that seems like a good idea for reasons that are probably obvious to most people reading an Android blog: a more pure Android experience.
