Folks who desire an HTC One M9 but don't have that kind of cash lying around don't have to settle for nothing. The Desire line does a decent job of taking the flagship's form factor, stripping away the premium gloss, and producing a piece of hardware that everyday smartphone users can get by with just fine. And they typically cost around a third of the price.
The latest option for Verizon Wireless customers is the HTC Desire 626, announced earlier this month. This device comes with a plastic white and gold body that looks like a paired down version of the M9. Read More

Despite its current tough situation, Opera keeps on forging forward with its software and applications, adding features and improving on existing ones. Case in point: in the Android app's beta channel's latest update, there's a slew of small new options and enhancements all across the board.
The change you may like the most is the addition of pull to refresh, which is a much easier way to reload the page than haunting for a small refresh button to tap. While your page loads, you may also notice that the progress bar blue line animation has been improved with a pulsing rhythm. Read More
I'm always looking for that perfect Bluetooth keyboard — one that is small and easy to carry, but large enough to comfortably type on, compatible with Android and iOS, and can connect to multiple devices at the same time. See, I always envision myself as the free-spirited type of person who goes to a cafe, orders a cappuccino, and pulls out a tablet with a keyboard to get work done as if I'm too hip to work at an office but too busy to wait until later. Suffice it to say, I'm never that cool, but I think LG may have gotten the closest to my fantasy with its Rolly Keyboard (model KBB-700). Read More

AMIDuOS, a popular solution for running Android apps on Windows, has issued a major update today that brings users a full Lollipop virtual environment. The update, to version 2.0, is most notable for leaving the now very-dated world of 4.2 Jelly Bean. With it also comes support for 64-bit apps, the ART runtime, and better APIs and compatibility for hardware features such as Bluetooth 4.0. On the not-as-fun side, the lifetime license now costs $15, up from the prior version's $10 cost.
A key difference between AMIDuOS and competitors like BlueStacks is that it is not merely an "app player," as BlueStacks brands itself. Read More

When Amazon launched the Fire Phone, it wasn't a top-of-the-line device. It did, however, come with a $650 price tag. When the handset immediately proceeded to not sell, Amazon started slashing the price. We've spent the time since watching the number drop. Read More
Facebook is getting in on the digital assistant game currently occupied by the likes of Google Now, Apple's Siri, and Microsoft's Cortana. But the social network is taking a different approach with M, the name of its virtual pal. This little helper waits around inside Messenger to answer your questions, and in those instances when its algorithms can't come up with a solution, there are real people working behind the scenes who can.
That's right, Facebook says that M's artificial intelligence is trained and supervised by real people. This partially confirms the Moneypenny rumor circulating last month that the company was developing a digital assistant of its own. Read More
