The Moto X might be getting on toward its twilight years, but it's still a great phone with killer features. Motorola's promised Mother's Day sale is active, which means you can get this device for a mere $299.99 for the 16GB version.
Fans of Nova Launcher and WidgetLocker have long had support for bubble-style unread counts on some app icons thanks to TeslaUnread. The newest beta version of this app includes preliminary support for a ton of new apps, but you'll have to opt into the beta.
I love to drive. No, seriously. I'm someone who actually enjoyed commuting to work, back before I landed my first gig putting words on the web. I'll gladly run to the grocery store to knock a few items off our shopping list, then sometimes head back on the same day to pick up something we forgot. If a friend lives less than two hours away, then they're local. Let's hang out this weekend. Read More
Today at this year's f8, Facebook's global developer conference, the company behind the world's largest social network introduced upcoming changes to its platform for signing users into mobile apps. In the months ahead, people can expect to see a new Anonymous Login option that the company says will allow them to sign in without sharing any of their personal information from Facebook.

Google's releasing two new apps for Android and iOS today: Google Docs and Google Sheets, dedicated editors for documents and spreadsheets. Aw yeah.
Both apps are totally offline-enabled, so no connection is needed to edit or create new sheets or documents. There's also a dedicated app for Slides coming soon, so we'll be on the lookout for that. For now, the apps don't seem to do any more than the Drive editor did, but the very fact that they exist probably means we can expect Google to start crafting more fully-featured experiences for these products down the line.
