Chrome for Android is testing a 'breaking news' push notification

Whether on mobile or desktop, Chrome always has a few experimental tricks up its sleeve. You can find these at chrome://flags where they can be enabled or disabled. Google uses these to test new features ahead of turning them on permanently, and lots of what we love about chrome started out as an optional flag.

Android Auto hits 14 new FCA (Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, RAM) vehicles for 2017 and 2018 model years

Chrysler's Uconnect infotainment system isn't bad, but if you asked me whether I'd rather use it or Android Auto with proper integration, I'd take Google's solution any day. If you, too, prefer Android Auto and have been in the market for an FCA product, you're in luck - 14 new cars across five of the association's brands now support it.

[Update: Confirmed as a bug] Surprise: The Pixel 2 has a hidden menu button on its navigation bar

The menu button used to be oh-so-important to Android in the early years. Google ditched it pretty early on with the introduction of the Galaxy Nexus, but Samsung's flagship Galaxy Note III was released in late 2013 and still had one on board.

But even after menu buttons lost their permanent spots on the chins of phones, some still persisted through long-presses of the multitasking button. You could even find cheaper devices with dedicated menu buttons to the right of their multitasking buttons, and if you really wanted one on your current phone, some custom ROMs would allow you to add one there.

WhatsApp now rolling out live location sharing

Live location sharing is pretty popular. Google Maps added it back in March, followed by Facebook Messenger the same month and Snapchat in June. Given that Messenger has had it for a few months, it makes sense that the feature would eventually make its way to Facebook-owned WhatsApp.

You may recall Game Dev Story, a mobile game where you had to create and manage your own game company. It is still popular, but it has largely stayed unchanged since it arrived on the Play Store in 2010. Game Dev Tycoon is a similar title, first released in 2012 for the PC and published on Steam in 2013. Greenheart Games, the studio behind the game, has announced that an Android version is coming in January 2018.
