You want the internet on your TV? There are several ways to go about that, but the latest is to use Android TV and the Opera TV Browser app. It's free to download, but compatibility is a bit odd. It doesn't seem to support the Nexus Player right now, but it will install on the Shield and ADT-1 just fine.

Facebook Messenger Becomes The 10th Android App With Enough Installs To Join The Billionaire Club

"Don't forget me, guys," Facebook Messenger said as it scooted in through the door that nearly closed in its face.

"Sorry, didn't see you coming," YouTube said. "You have one billion views?"

"Installs, and yes," Gmail said, putting down a bottle of something expensive and walking over. "See?"

"It was only a matter of time," Gmail, the oldest member of the club, continued. "I started drafting Messenger's invite back when Facebook first got in."

Gmail gestured its glass towards the table where Facebook was seated, networking with a couple of apps it didn't like.

Cadillac's 2016 Model Year Lineup Will Get Android Auto, Though Not Immediately

Cadillac has just announced that it, too, will be jumping on the Android Auto bandwagon, with all 2016 model year Cadillac vehicles that are equipped with the 8-inch CUE infotainment system being the first to get it. Cadillac has stated that Android Auto will not, however, ship immediately on these cars. Instead, they'll most likely get Auto via a dealer-installed software update, around which time Auto will also start to be phased into production vehicles. For now, Cadillac is estimating that Auto will be available around the mid-model year (think winter 2015/2016), but that's subject to change.

There's no specific list of which cars will be getting a 2016 model year in Cadillac's lineup, but presumably it's going to be almost all of them.

[Deal Alert] LG G Watch Again Only $50, Except This Time It's Refurbished And On eBay

The LG G Watch was one of the Android Wear launch devices, and even then it didn't feel like the best smartwatch for Google's wrist-bound platform. That has definitely changed in the year since.

But the thing just keeps going on sale. AT&T has sold the watch for a mere $50 more than once. Now you can snag one for the same price as an eBay daily deal.

There are a few things to keep in mind. First off, these units are refurbished. Second, shipping is restricted to only a few continents. You will have the best luck in Australia, Europe, and North America.

The Next 'Powered By Cyanogen' Phone Is The Andromax Q, Coming To Indonesia Soon

Despite the continuing tense relationship between Cyanogen and OnePlus, the former seems to be making new partnerships all the time, particularly with low-cost phone suppliers in emerging markets. The latest to run the company's custom build of Android is a carrier phone from Indonesian company Smartfren, the Andromax Q. Despite having a name that sounds like some kind of multi-gendered Replicant, it will be Indonesia's first phone running Cyanogen "OS."

The specs on the Andromax Q are decidedly low-end - here in the states it would probably cost $100-150 off-contract, and it will sell for 1.3 million Rupiah (about $97 USD) from Smartfren.

Spotify Has Launched A Beta Testing Program For Android, Application And Approval Required

Joining an ever-growing group of popular apps with beta communities, Spotify has introduced one of their own. The most popular on-demand streaming music service will undoubtedly draw a lot of interest from its users, though, so it is not wide open like many beta programs are. To join, you must first send in an "application" and wait for approval.

It's not exactly a resume, since you only have to give them your Google email address, Spotify username, and community forum username (why these are not the same thing is beyond me). Judging by my own experience and the responses to their announcement, they are not simply rubber-stamping every single request as soon as it's received, either.

Titanium Backup's v7.2 Update Adds Android M Support, Fixes Box Authentication Issues, Squishes Lots Of Other Bugs

The developers at Titanium Track continue plugging away at their beloved app, which reaches version 7.2.0 with its latest update. While we do get the standard variety of minor enhancements and bug fixes, the main draw this time is the addition of some formal support for Android M. It appears Titanium Backup had some function with the M Preview initially, but that would have been merely incidental. With some time to work on it, the development team has pushed changes that are specifically targeted to getting it to work on the newest Android version.

Based on their changelog, it seems one problem with the preview builds was detecting the folder where users had stored their backups.

OnePlus Says No Android 5.1 For OxygenOS Until The OnePlus 2 Is Out, Cyanogen OS 12.1 Coming Soon

OnePlus' breakup with Cyanogen Inc. was neither amicable nor expected, which seems to have left OnePlus in a bit of a bind. The company has managed to get its Lollipop-based OxygenOS ROM out the door for OnePlus One owners, but those hoping for a quick update to Android 5.1 will be disappointed. That's not happening until after the OnePlus 2 is released. The new Cyanogen OS is coming soon, though.
