Are you feeling particularly craft-y today? Then you will be interested to know that everyone's favorite handmade marketplace, Etsy has a new Android app. It's never been easier to browse for reasonably-priced knickknacks on your phone.

The app feels properly designed for Android. Holo elements like the action bar, tabs, and scrolling are all implemented correctly. Although, it doesn't feel like a cookie cutter Holo app either. Oh, speaking of...  I wonder if I could find some Android cookie cutters on Etsy.

If you're old enough to remember a time when arcades blanketed the landscape, you probably also remember Raiden. This top-down scrolling shooter debuted in 1990 and attracted legions of fans. Now more than 20 years after it showed up in an arcade cabinet, you can play Raiden and its three sequels on your Android device courtesy of DotEmu.

This single download contains the original Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet.

When it comes to distributing internal software, most companies have a few options: email, shared accounts on things like Box, or websites that specialize in private content sharing. Now, though, Google is making it easy for Google Apps users to easily, privately, and securely share their internal applications though the new Play Store Private Channel.

Basically, this creates a personal section of the Play Store that is only accessible when users log in with their Apps email address and browse the Private Channel.

Amazon just did some price slashing on a scale we rarely see, cutting costs for all sorts of new smartphones across the board. Hit up the list to see what's up for grabs. All of these deals are for both new customers and upgrades.

One X+ (AT&T) - $139.99 ($70 savings)

What more can you say about the One X+ than it's a One X but better? 64GB of internal storage, LTE, and Android 4.1, all on the most beautiful smartphone display I've ever seen.

In times past, there have been concerns about Netflix' ability to continue acquiring rights for streaming video content. The more users the company gets, the more pressure there is to get high-profile content. After the loss of the Starz deal, there was some doubt, but today there is a renewed hope for fans of Netflix and Disney at least: the two just inked a deal that will bring first-run movies from Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel, and Disneynature to the streaming service in 2016.

Hey, have you heard? Gamepads for smartphones and tablets are a thing. A thing that is quickly becoming the Android equivalent of the many ridiculous iPhone plug-in accessories you'll find all across the web.

So, we're covering another one. It's called PhoneJoy Play. It does this:

You can fit a phone up to the size of a One X in the PhoneJoy Play horizontally, presumably. It connects (hold your applause, please) via Bluetooth, it requires games to implement compatibility (likely through an SDK to get full, native functionality), and you can fold it up into a more compact shape for play on televisions or tablets.

Is it that time of year already? Time to start planning for Google's annual developer conference! The software giant just announced that I/O 2013 will be taking place May 15th-17th at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco. No word yet on prices for tickets or when you can get your hands on them, but those details should be coming in February of next year.

Those who have been paying attention over the last couple of years will know that I/O typically sees the launch of a new version of Android as well as some free gifts given out to developers.

When it comes to Android tablets, Toshiba hasn't really been the "brand to buy," so to speak. It's not that they put out bad hardware, because that's simply not the case - the Excite 7.7 is one of the best Android tablets I've ever used. It's that they don't promote - or more importantly, support - devices after release.

Case in point: today, the company has announced a new member to its Excite line, the 10" Excite SE.

You remember this little guy? Of course you do. He's freaking cute, how could you not remember? Don't act like you don't want one. Everyone does. However, if you've loved the idea but were holding out for one in white, today's your lucky day. Right now, the useful bugdroid buddy has gone on sale in a new 'Chill' flavor. Perfectly white with a nice silver accent along the neckline. Fantastic.

Under the hood of Google Now, powering all those beautiful cards that pop up when you search for certain things, is Google's Knowledge Graph. In what might be the company's most ambitious project ever, Google aims to categorize and classify all information so that when you search for, say, Jeff Goldbum, the search engine knows you might also be interested in information about Chaos Theory or survival tips for raptor attacks.
