Hands On With The ASUS ZenWatch: The Best Square Android Wear Watch Yet

For its first foray into the nascent Android Wear platform, ASUS created the ZenWatch. It aims to be the more fashionable and appealing alternative to the other square watches from LG and Samsung, and I think it largely accomplishes that.

Whether you prefer a square smart watch to a round one is a matter of personal opinion, but there's little denying that ASUS has made probably the most compelling square smart watch of the current Android Wear generation.

Motorola's new devices are slowly becoming available, and if you're a Moto G kind of person, you can get the second generation handset directly from Moto for $180 sans-contract now. If you haven't already heard (I'm sure you have), the second gen G is packing a 5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz processor (likely a Snapdragon 400), 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear shooter, and 2,070mAh battery powering it all. The show is run by Android 4.4, and Motorola has already promised the update to L.

Google Glass Explorer Edition Now Live In The US Play Store With All Accessories

You may remember Google's launch of the Glass explorer program in the UK, which saw the device listed in the Play Store just before I/O. This seemed a little odd at the time, given that the Glass shopping experience in the US has always had its own dedicated checkout process and interface, separate from the Play Store, but bringing the hardware to Google's main store makes sense in the long-run, as the eyeball computer tiptoes toward an inevitable final launch.

Motorola's Punit Soni Says All New Software Features Will Come To Last Year's Devices If Supported By Hardware

The new Moto X makes a good first impression, but that's as much to do with the software as with the hardware. Luckily, owners of last year's Motorola devices won't be left in the dust. Motorola's Punit Soni has confirmed that all the new software features will be ported to the last generation devices, provided there is hardware support.

LG's Over-The-Top G Watch R Promo Stars A Luxury Car-Driving, Mountain Biking, Wildlife-Stalking Secret Agent

We've seen some ridiculous product trailers before, but this one takes things to another level. In this video, LG isn't trying to sell the G Watch R to the busy student, tired mom, stressed business man, or hip vague twenty-something in transit through someplace crowded. Instead, it sets its sights square on those among us who still dream of being a secret agent. It's an interesting demographic to go after, considering the people who dream of living such a life tend to stop by the time they're old enough to actually afford a smartwatch.

Motorola Assist And Contextual Services Updated With Moto G And E Support For Drive And Home Modes

Motorola's apps are exclusively available to its devices, but some of the more affordable handsets take a while to get some of the provided features. In this case, the Motorola Assist and Contextual Services apps have recently been updated to bring Driving and Home mode support for the Moto G and the Moto E. To understand what this means, we must first take a look at what both of these apps actually do.

Motorola's Turbo Charger Promises An Extra Eight Hours Of Battery From A 15 Minute Charge

Since we haven't heard anything substantial from Motorola in a while – unless you count the Moto 360, new Moto X, new Moto G, and Moto Hint – let's talk about a charger! Moto's new Turbo Charger is all about powering up devices on the quick...as long as they have Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 functionality, anyway.
