T-Mobile Starts Selling The LG G2 Online Ahead Of Schedule, Still Slated To Debut The Phone In Stores September 25th

No one likes to be last. The LG G2 was originally slated to become available online from T-Mobile on September 18th, nearly a week after competitors Verizon Wireless and AT&T were to start offering the handset. AT&T already jumped the gun when they started offering sales online a week ago, and now T-Mobile is offering the G2 at the same time as everyone else, at least online.

Hugo Barra Speaks Out About His Departure From Google And Why Xiaomi Is Going Global

Hugo Barra was the face of Android for the last several years. If Google needed someone out front for a demo, it was going to be Barra. He was personable and effective on stage, but he announced a few weeks ago that he was leaving Mountain View for Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi where he will serve as VP of global. It seemed abrupt, but Barra has revealed in an interview with All Things D that the move was in the works for some time.

FCC (Or LG) Royally Screws Up, Publishes Photos Of Next Nexus Phone Under Listing For Verizon G2

LG made a last minute amendment to the documentation for the Verizon edition of the G2 yesterday, which is model number LG-VS980. No big deal, right? Except someone at the FCC or LG seems to have screwed this one up, but in our favor. Images of an LG device are attached to the application. These are usually held back until a device is released, but these aren't images of the G2 for Verizon.

Virgin Mobile has added the ZTE Supreme to its lineup of Android smartphones, a 4G LTE smartphone that will cost $299 with one of the carrier's no-contract plans starting at $35 a month. The device is priced to compete with the likes of the Nexus 4 (before its price drop) and comes equipped with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, a 1280 x 720 5-inch display, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh removable battery.

LG G2 Now Available On Verizon Wireless, Costs $199 With Two-Year Contract, $599 Month-To-Month

LG's latest flagship device is now available on Verizon Wireless, the first carrier to offer the 5.2-inch handset in-stores. Verizon customers can pick up one by handing over $199.99 with a two-year contract or paying $599 to get the phone contract-free.

Update: If you enter the promo code RMN30 at checkout, it will take $30% off the upfront cost, which amounts to $60. This should bring the price down to $139.99 before taxes.
